You could customize your trainer to a degree, and you can train whatever Pokemon you catch in Diamond/Pearl and transfer it to Pokemon Battle Revolution.

If it's a three on three, I always use starters. My Blazike, my Empoleon and my Torterra.

To win easily, I recomend this strategy:

1 grass type

1 fire type

1 water type

1 electric type

1 flying type (mainly a bird)

and 1 other pokemon of your choice.

1 fire type- use it when facing ice or grass types.

1 water type-when facing fire types

1 ghost or dark type-when facing normal and fighting types.

You can use rental passes which are earned through playing some single player modes. They come with predetermined Pokemon and moves, but they can be slightly customized by "borrowing" other trainer's Pokemon in a certain game mode.

Honestly though, if you don't have any of the DS games, this likely won't be too enjoyable a game. (For one, the rental Pokemon aren't too hot.)

Oddly enough I think rental passes are kind of fun. A new team of pokemon with diverse moves... It's a fun change from using my own pokemon, since I know their stats, attacks, and just about everything about them. Using rental pokemon brings back that sense of adventure I remebr having when I bought my first pokemon game. (pokemone yellow ftw!)

I hear you. I love mixing things up when possible in games. I pretty much always select "Random" in any fighting game, for one thing.

The rental Pokemon in this game aren't terrible (if I remember rightly), but they don't compare to training your own. I can still see their appeal from time to time, but I can't recommend the game to a person who can't use their own Pokemon.

I use a video capture device called, "GameBridge". These devices basically let you plug things into your PC as if it were a VCR and have programs which let you record things.

Would you reccommend this? I had in mind that I want this game, but I have seen people say so many things about how its a bad game or whatever. But even in the bad reviews it looks enjoyable. And I am a pokemon fan, and I liked pokemon stadium, should I get this?

Only if you have your own Pokemon in either Diamond/Pearl and if you are prepared to accept that the single player and overall experience isn't as well executed as Pokemon Stadium 2.

It's still fun enough, though, the single player.

The main draw is the multiplayer, of course. 3vs3 single battles, and 4vs4 double battles only. I THINK you can set up for 6vs6 Friend Battles, but I have yet to manage this.

It's very easy to get a random battle going, and they are pretty fun to test your pokemon

Overall, if you really like battling with your pokemon, you won't be disappointed. It may not deliver on all aspects, but it's a good first try for the Wii.

This was my team that I used to beat the game with. All of them weren't EV trained, and the moves were just what I happened to have by the end. Heck, my Bronzong had Extrasensory!

Well, I try to keep on my toes and use what I've got, sure. I was just saying that now I prepare my pokemon by training their EVs, breeding for decent IVs, and getting the moves I want. Takes a little while, sometimes.

I love using garchomp and rhyperior i put leftovers on garchomp and quick claw on rhyperior .............. Who is faster rhydon or rhyperior? :)

Rhyperior is just as fast.

Overall, Rhyperior's stats are only a little bit higher than Rhydon's. I guess the biggest change is the ability, "Solid Rock". (Maybe a few new moves, too)

I wouldn't know, exactly. This fight, I went and used the casual Pokemon I trained to complete the game. Torterra had no planned training like I did with my later Pokemon.

The set up you've got there doesn't look all too bad at a glance, but you might want to consider adding another non-damaging move (or replacing one) to keep the opponent guessing (Synthesis, Light Screen).

Only way to find out what works, though, is to give it a shot!

Bug may be Super Effective against Psychic, however Psychic suffers no penalty when used against a bug.

This was the first Draw I had seen too, and I was surprised since it was my first battle!

I was really happy when I got a female Combee in the game, it was even without the reset trick! I HAD to use it, and I'm glad I did! You just have to watch out for Rock-type Pokemon - they hurt!
