An amazing , beautiful game way , way ahead of it's time . Solving the puzzles and getting to the end is just a bonus . To me , it's all about the sounds and scenery . Sometimes I think I can feel the breeze and smell the ocean .

The graphics were fascinating. The puzzles were inventive. The story was gripping. The atmosphere and the world surrounding you were in my opinion the best ever concieved. I have such memories of this game... Pure excellence is the best way for me to describe it.

Just finished Myst I DOwnloaded on my itouch, was great. Myst came out when I was pretty young I could never figurevout what to do. Even now I had to get hints once or twice. This sequel looks great. I wish I had cash to get it.

Still looks impressive for such an old game. I was playing recently on a virtual machine running XP and I played all the way to the end but I could not complete the game I guess due to emulation issues and I was unable to interact with the audio lock at Katherin's prison. :(

Agreed...Real-Time 3D takes away from the games intensity...I was actually really dissapointed seeing how "Myst V: End of ages" was done in Real-Time...The characters and Life-like setting is what makes this whole series so good! Turning it into an animated console game makes it less realistic...and not as exciting. Personally I would love to see it on XBOX but, Just as it is. Most definately one of my all-time favorite adeventures!

have you tried asking around at the forums? If your laptop has Vista, it is possible to get all Myst games to work but requires a lot of fiddling. It might be easier to check out the low cost versions put out by Good old Games for 6-16USD. The specialize in packaging older computer games so they run on modern Windows.

Myst is crap compared to Riven. Ok, it's elder, but there were games with even more... "contents" before, like Monkey Island.

Fortunately Riven was a REAL adventure, not just a (rather simple) slideshow! :-)
