Wonder how the song was conceived? ...Did it start w/ listening to a Bush speech & strumming a gtr? Did his words strike a chord? W/ maybe Ted K's eulogy to his brother "who saw war and tried to stop it" springing to mind as a 'counterbalance'? Or did the music come 1st?
Poignant, but the music could have developed more, wish it had. It builds its dark underpinning, the added voices getting rather claustrophobic, gyring. - Bush regimen days, when patriotic choices were not to be questioned.
