I personally feel that as westerners we are taught that rising tones are as you would imagine them to start mid and then rise. Personally I find they actually go from mid to then dip and finally rise. But I'm personally pretty crap at Thai.

thai has 5 tones mid,low,falling,high and rising hence this lesson The 5 "ga gaa gaga s here" to western ears may sound the same but in thai they are 5 different words,confused?
