Problems with "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"

The thing about how Wolverine got his mind wiped was EXACTLY like how Charles Xavier lost his ability to walk. We all knew it was gonna happen, and it happen with a woman shooting MAGNETO, and the bullet ricochets to Xavier. SO STUPID! Stupid Woman for shooting magneto, and Stupid Magneto for not controlling the bullet not to hit his best friend.

i personally wanted to see jason stryker, and have him to be at fault for wolverines mermory and deadpool insanity. And also maybe show lady deathstrike and luke cage. i know luke cage isn't a x men character. you could probaly relate to weapon plus. speeking of which. go more into to depth with with strykernd weapon plus. make reference to the captain america project, and they are still trying to create superhuman weapon. instead of them going around killing mutants.

this movie was not like x1 x2 x3 in my opinion this was way more cartoony. and honestly the script was blaind, story was boring, nothing felt ya know good. the only good thing i can say about this movie is the guy who played blob he really was great in this movie and his acting was spot on

I might be confused but in the movie did striker not age? It seems like they were in Vietnam in the 60's then jumped to the 21st century and striker (if that was the man who put together the teems name was) did not age after nearly 30 years.

I can actually say that I still enjoyed Wolverine as a movie, even after First Class. It was entertaining for the most part. I have seen worse attempts at films for comic stories in recent years, one in particular was X3.

I agree with you on mostly everything. I don't agree about the adamantium bullet penetrating his skull. From what I gathered, it didn't penetrate his skull, but more or less it was the only thing strong enough to cause a hit hard enough to cause amnesia. If it had penetrated his skull, I'd think he'd have a weak spot.

just wanted to point out afact that was even mentioned in the movie and throughout the comics that you kinda overtook in your review of this film...not nitpicking here but thought to make a notation here....Logans adamantium skelteton is not "completely" indistructable if you watch closely when the adamantium is being put into him stryker actually notes that it is "nearly" indistructable.

According to other sources, the bullet did NOT go through Wolverines's skull. It went through his eye, and ricocheted around his head, and got stuck in his hippocampus lobe (the lobe responsible for memory, hence the amnesia.

lol Wolverine broke my heart. Logan was soooo soft the entire movie. Deadpool sucked. Not Wade, Deadpool. The katana claws? No comment. Gambit? Fail. What was with the little...levitating cards move? That seemed too much like telepathy. And Wolvy's claws? Why were they so flamboyant?? They were sparking off like jumper cables. Could've made Sabertooth more animal looking. Mystique should've had an appearance. They had Quicksliver held captive, I don't think Magneto would've allowed that.

Anyways, Sabretooth could have easily suffered brain damage or anything, maybe even from jumping off the nuclear reactor, because he doesn't have a skull made out of adamantium. However, I disagree with you when you said, it needs more supporting characters, because I think the movie already has enough, Blob, Emma Frost, etc...About the bullets, I really couldn't see a way around to erase his memories.

Something that bothered in the movie was that I thought Logan learned a series of Martial arts in Japan during his lifetime, but why didn't he use them against Gambit or Sabretooth? Anyways about Deadpools optic blast, I read that it was heat-based in this movie so the claws probably drained the heat, but nevertheless the impact should've knocked him down. I also agree that it's stupid how they didn't make Sabretooth recognize Wolverine in X1, but he may have suffered memory issues too.

Something else I thought of it, the Deadpool we saw in Origins: Wolverine, wasn't the legit Deadpool, that was just Weapon XI, they dubbed him as 'Deadpool.' Deadpool doesn't shoot ridiculous cycloptic-rays, neither does he teleport. That's another thing that bothered me. How will they fix that in Origins: Deadpool? They need a lot of work for years to come if they continue like this.

If you will remember, he did the same thing when attacking various members of the brotherhood before their assault on Alcatraz in X3. They make it look like everything he touched is incinerated. i think Wolverine was ok what i dissliked about Wolverine was the lab scene did not match his flashbacks from 1 and 2 and that his Wolverine dogtags were wrong and the Bullet memory wipe thing. i think X-men lost alot when they lost Bryan Singer and David Hayter and the franchise needs them back badly.

x-men origins magneto, if done well, should be very good. As far as characters go, I anticipate quicksilver, scarlet witch, polaris, mystique, nightcrawler, toad, sabretooth, and prof. x.

Since its the past i'm guessing they'll find a younger actor to play a younger magneto, but seeing ian mckellen reprise the role, no matter how brief, would be good.

i felt like wolverine was as rushed as x3! I had this expectation that wolverine was going to be on par w. x 2 (my fave by far), especially w, the amount of effort hugh jackman put forth to promote the movie. I was really disappointed. It'll most likely be a forgettable summer movie when you have transformers 2, star trek, and terminator salvation out. Wolverine was "ok" but not great...at least that's my opinion. People are too critical. I agree with most of what you said man. Sure the bullet, and the claws protecting the Cyke beam, and character substance could have been looked at a little better, but what made the film for me was the acting. However, I do believe film couldve done without Cyclops (who is my all time fave comic character, but he had no point to the film), and Emma Frost. Putting them on the poster makes them look like they are main characters, when they are only in it for 2 scenes.

Actually, Sabretooth and Wolverine had the same father. Most likely Sabre's mother died when he was young, or ran away.

to ur response for sabretooth not knowing wolverine is his half brother from x-1. at the time, (2000) wolverine's origin wasnt revealed until like 2008 i think. they could have done sooo much more with wolverine's origin as a child. if u want a great story with beautiful art, check out the graphic novel Origin. it doesnt say wolverine and sabretooth are half-brothers. it was just something that the movie studios made up.
