Lady Tremaine feels guilty, and therefore, she tricks her daughters into thinking that if they fix Cinderella's dress, she'll give them a aqua-beaded necklace. Reluctantly, the stepsisters fix Cinderella's dress and when they finished, they ask for their reward[the beads].

Lady Tremaine points out that she tricked them into fixing the dress, and that there was only one necklace anyway, so she did not reward them. The stepsisters begged her for the necklace, but before Lady Tremaine could say anything, Cinderella decides to miss out on the ball and goes upstairs to her room to go to sleep in the fixed dress. Lady Tremaine and her 2daughters are shocked and outraged.

This is the movie I would choose if I had a choice between "The Little Mermaid" and "The Lion King" because those two movies are recent, and this is an earlier Disney movie, and I really think in my opinion, that early Disney like this film and Bambi, is better than later movies, like those two that I mentioned!
