Begovic is different because he didn't grow up in Canada so I can understand his decision, but every other player I mentioned was born and raised in Canada. The reasons that we aren't as good as some people might expect from a country with so many immigrants is because a lot of our best players leave for 'bigger' countries, and because there are not many professional outlets for our youth. We are only 3 behind you in FIFA rankings, and 30 ahead of you in Elo rankings...I wouldn't be so cocky

Asmir Begovic grew up in Canada but his real country of origin is Bosnia.
BTW, Bosnia is better then Canada in football/soccer.

Well Canada is full of different ethnic groups. The only people really indigenous to the country are the Natives, who make up 1% of the population.
So while he maybe ethnically Bosnian (like others in Canada roots are from the UK, France, Germany, Ukraine, etc.), HE IS CANADIAN.
