Around 3:29; Toni looks so damn sexy and feisty as she sings "We're all to blame" with a smirk on her face. Damn, I love this song, and I never thought it possible but Come Clean is an even better album than Cuckoo. They're pretty much the only band I've listened to at all in nearly 2 years now.
@seifukusha hmmm shoegaze was kinda My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Swervedriver, Loop, and Lush. Curve are typically lumped in with that scene (which I loved and still do) but I think Curve were actually really out on their own. There wasn't really anybody else like them and still isn't! Very dense and structured riffs, not really atmosphere focussed - too rhythmic and powerful. Curve tends to leap out and grab you by the throat rather than let you sink into their sound...
Such a fucking cool song - I'm having to listen to it at least daily at the moment to get my Curve fix. This and Unreadable Communication are my two favourite tracks.
cant seem to download this version from anywhere (limewire of itunes) . it keeps on coming up wit the lunatic calm remix- which isnt as good as this original
I've only just discovered Curve (I know - only 17 years late!) and my fiancee got me a couple of their albums for Christmas. Nothing like a bit of early '90s grunge to celebrate the birth of Christ, eh?! ;)
How curve weren't huge is beyond me. WHen you consider especially how bad most British indie was in the 90s, with the yanks ruling the roost, curve could have really gone somewhere, they had the sound to crossover. THen garbage came and nicked their sound and watered it down :(
Hmm don't blame Garbage. They have nothing to do with the destiny of this band. Garbage are one of the GREATEST bands ever. Blame it on the fucking commercial bullshit!
Lord have mercy-- look at Toni Halliday! Listen to her voice! Why isn't she Queen of the Earth? A perfect choice of song for Buffy and Faith the vampire slayers to dance to.
This one song maybe...The crystal method sounds like prodigy. It's big beat influenced, so what? BTW...I doubt you know this but Big Beat is the genre Crystal method and Prodigy Fall Under
1997, Curve reform and sign to a major record label. At last, they're gonna get the publicity and success they've always truly deserved. Record company; "I know, lets release it as a 7 track single so that it won't be eligible for the charts". Curve disappear underground again. Moral of the story, the biggest dickheads work for the biggest record companies.
This was the greatest travesty of the 90's! Universal pulling out all the backing for Curve's first major label album. They were the reason the world at large still doesn't know Curve and why the US is still full of shitty punk acts, emo trash, and hip-hop rubbish. Damn them!!! Come Clean is still one the 10 Best albums of the 90's!!!!!
Agreed, Curve were brilliant. I discovered them kind of late thanks to the track they had on the Doom Generation soundtrack. I bought Doppelganger and Cuckoo on a road trip the following week and then fast forward years later and my name is listed in the insert for their final album "The Way of the Curve" and I've had a chance to share my own music with Dean.
This is great mid-late 90's combination of rock and dancemusic influences. Who doesn't remember Prodigy, FBS, early Chem Bros and the whole SPAWN Soundtrack in example.
right there with ya shutterdog--their music never gets old with time just better--toni's voice and dean's music are such an awesome combination--wish they would put out a video compilation--come back curve--we need ya in this saturated hip hop music scene we live in now
I can only understand so much of what's going on in this video! :)

Dean Garcia started the 90s shoegaze sound and triphop simultaneously (one of the instigators). He's a true dark genius.
seifukusha 1 year ago
@seifukusha Really? He did all that? And simultaneously? And in the 90's no less?! Sorry, but I doubt it.

Butch Vig and Co. tried to get Toni on board when they were forming Garbage but then ended up with Shirley instead.
