I love this.... 1. Because it's so laid back and simple, and he is spot on with voice, guitar, everything. 2. Because you can tell musicians are in the audience...no mindless screaming girls that care more about his looks. They applaud when appropriate, but let him play and soak it alllllll in.
oh, and of course, that playing's pure magic right there. i've immersed myself in "Gravity" countless times (both live and recorded versions) and fresh revelations emerge every time.
his guitar playing is so smooth in this wow!!! from 2:05 on its just perfect, what a great sound and style, this is almost as good as his who did you think i was solo performance!
I could be wrong, but in the video at Berklee with him playing this song with the other guy it looks as if it's a hot rod deluxe. Is he using it here? I'm not sure, I know he usually uses Two-Rock amps if that helps
@miller434 it's not an hot road, its the blck1 (black one)... and yes he uses always a custom made special two rock amp, i think there are only 25 around here, the others are owned by jm
john is the best songwriter of our time i mean you have to understnad what his music is all labout to understand what im saying john is amazing as a musician and i hope he's around a long time!
great video .... i was there today and recorded 80 minutes of the clinic with my mini Disc recorder ... i got a great stereo recording to add to this video =) rock on !

what kind of looping station is he using there? I know he uses a line-6 delay modeler every now and again.

Who else likes the fact that at 0:19 he magically pulls out a pick from between his fingers ?
shesaidskyline 1 year ago 6
@shesaidskyline you can kinda see the pick between his index and middle finger on the jumbo screen at around 0:14

Would have been much nicer without the constant playing with the camera - making noise throughout the whole thing.

Does anybody know the chord progression for 3.36-3-42? I know the notes are G, A, B, D, C, B, A and back to G.. But what are the chords he uses?
