he told how the government screwed him over.. how people he defended turn their backs to him.. how he is fully disabled and the only enjoyment in life he gets is spending time with his wife. My brother took his lunch break but instead of being selfish and blind like all of you he didn't leave the guy and go eat he instead spent the entire hour and then some talking to the man. Making the guy who helped the wonderful country feel like a somebody. Made this gentleman feel wanted and envied...
the guy (Bill) was almost in tears just knowing he had someone there to share a moment with and not have any arguments over whats right or wrong. We are damn proud to be American and damn proud to even be in the presence of someone so brave as to put his life on the line defending the people with signs and shirts and songs. I protested the war back when Bush was in office. when Obama was elected, most opposition died. Ok...they DO, as taxpaying Americans, have every right in the world to protest and voice their opinion on the war. But the idea that all of our troops need to be brought home is kind of...misleading. What they don't understand is that the US always has people overseas in foreign countries, and many foreign countries (including Middle East countries) have troops here. It's called joint operations, and it's actually a good thing, it shows we have allies in the world community.

Ok...they DO, as taxpaying Americans, have every right in the world to protest and voice their opinion on the war. But the idea that all of our troops need to be brought home is kind of...misleading. What they don't understand is that the US always has people overseas in foreign countries, and many foreign countries (including Middle East countries) have troops here. It's called joint operations, and it's actually a good thing, it shows we have allies in the world community.

Well just a simple reply, I did serve. I was in Desert Storm. It amazes me that they blamed the Saudis for 9/11, why are we in Iraq? Now you call us freaks, when did you serve or are you old enough? The thing they want tell you on your TV news you keep watching is this war will never end. It is about OIL, MONEY, but at the sametime they want everyone to be greener. Just because teh americans control the oil doesent mean that they would give it out at a fair price. Quite the opposite. The benefit that comes from having control over such a great amount of oil is that you can sell it at whatever price you want. And making it cheaper merely makes their crime more obvious. Cheap oil is the last thing on the american gov mind. Why would they want the public to pay less?

I'm actually starting a food co-op in my community this year, and I don't plan on smashing anything up until G20 in September.

Because all States are necessarily authoritarian. It was necessary to distinguish it that way because Anarchism also abides by the synonym "libertarian socialism". By the definition of socialism as written by Marx, there are no socialist countries now.
