iphone is very pricey, where i'm from it comes same plan as omnia (free on $69 cap), and prepaid is generally more expensive. if the iphone is unlocked you might not get the firmware updates (apparently). the iphone is a good buy, but perhaps you might be paying for the name rather than the product, as the price is quite steep. This doesn't mean i recommend the omnia over the iphone, i just preferred it, and i guess each to their own. hope that helped! :)

the htc is known to have a few lag spikes, however the animation of the fone's menu etc. looks very smooth, like the iphone. the omnia could have done this, as there doesn't seem to be lag issues, but the animation doesn't look smooth, even though added apps like igo8 nav n go's animation is completely smooth, it seems a little odd. the iphone of course seems very smooth and i'm sure it is i just haven't used it as much as the omnia.

i don;t know much about the htc, seeing as i've only used the former two, but the htc is also supposed to be great. 3.2 mp camera, but smaller screen. Also a windows mobile fone. For video iphone and omnia are great, both play divx (i think) and perhaps both play xvid formats. omnia dusnt have 3.5 mm jack, but has adapter which feels awkward, but managable if u get short wire headfones/earfones. Omnia uses diff type of touch therefore has a stylus, but it hangs off like a lanyard, kinda annoying

i'm not gona be biased cz Igot an omnia. The iphone touch is superb although it's a relatively older fone it is probably (imo) the easiest touch to use. It doesn't have the best camera, and no flash so if ur a camer enthusiast i suggest looking elswhere. Comes with standard apple OS so you can't add apps like windows mobiles. omnia boasts a great deal of features and it doesnt dissapoint. has a great processor but still lags, touch is lil annoying but good. camera's great in light.

these phones are not even in the same class, you would have to be an idiot if you buy anything other than the touch pro. The touch pro makes the other two phone look like a toy. If you want proof of this check out the 5 part video called "3g iphone outdated". That video was made with the PPC-6800 which is the phone the touch pro replaces. In that video you see the ppc-6800 outperforming the 3g iphone in every way. Watch all 5 parts to see the true power of that phone.

If any other company released such an outdated phone at the time the iphone was released people would not even give it a second look but because the company was apple all the fanboys went crazy. Now the result is a crap outdated phone that people think is the best phone in the world just because it was released by apple. As far as tech goes its years behind other smart phones.

Ok everone yeh the iphone is good but there are many important multimedia functions which it lacks e.g. failure to capture video with its already rubbish camera. Also the safari browser cannot copy and paste text. Whereas both the HTC and the omnia does. However the HTC is quite slow and less responsive than the iphone and omnia.

The Omnia is my choice as it offers almost or maybe all multimedia functions that a phone could offer in this time period.

I had WM mobile (Samsung Blackjack), Symbian mobile(P800), and now, i got an iPhone 3G

The i900 s camera is better,but its just an iPhone Clone, like VIEWTY,P520,or Prada..

the blackjack is a smartphone using wm5 and shouldn't be compaired to PPCs. the p800 is 5 YEARS OLD and uses os7...so no wonder it was slow. the prada was out MONTHS before the iphone. quote engadget: "there are a lot of people out there that still can't make up their mind on whether or not to wait it out for the iPhone or to save themselves the aggravation and buy its distant cousin, the LG KE850 Prada." the omnia comes with 3 different UIs.
