i know this video is old, but i can use some help. i have a tritton ax360 laying around useless because i used to have xbox 360 but now i have ps3 and i would love to use it again. can you link me to the parts that i would need to have the mic working? thank you

The mic plugs dirrectly into the 360 audio connection on the controller,, I beleive its even the right size. So no need for adapters. 360 had this stuff built in day one. If not its a small audio connection like most cellphones have for hard connection so may need a jack adapter.

i had my 360 headset working on my ps3 as well, except i had a different usb port than iMic

@dommiesan hey man great vid on tritton ax360 set up for ps3. Is there any way of setting it up so i can still hear people talk. the input and output both switch to i mic usb, it will only let me do one or the other . is this the case or am i missing something

im only asking this because i use a 360 to ps2 controller converter so basiclly it doesnt allow me to use my headset because the ps2 pad doesnt have have the headphone options as you know. and it kinda sucks cuz i enjoy alot of the games with the ps2 pad but at the same time i cant communicate with my friends in parties

I don't think the iMic will work on the 360. The PS3 allows you to configure your mic input in the setup menus. I don't think the 360 will let you do the same, but I'm not sure. That is a weird setup you're using. I know some company makes PS3 controllers shaped like 360 controllers, but I don't know if anybody makes the opposite. If they do, there's probably a mic jack right on the controller.

Only if you have the new dual sound output function enabled in your PS3's preferences. I use optical out for the headphones and HDMI for the TV

No prob. I think it's a great headset. I only have 2 small complaints: 1) that it's a pain to switch the optical cable between the the PS3 and 360 because both optical ports are in the back of the units. 2) you can't hear your own voice on mic through the headset so at first it feels like nobody can hear you.

Otherwise it's a great headset.

Like I said in the video, different brand usb adapters are hit or miss. Some work, some don't. You'll have to test it yourself. If you bought it just for this and it doesn't work, you could always return it and try a different one.

I don't remember off the top of my head, but it wasn't much. The cable was a couple of bucks, the adapter was maybe $3, and the iMic was like $20 I think. It sucks to spend money on top of buying the headset, but it's worth it if you want to condense your equipment and have 1 headset to use on both systems.

I have a pair of these, about a month ago I had a seizure while wearing them and fell on my head, they took most of the shock and didn't break immediately. I just noticed 4 days ago that they had a crack in them from the fall, and today they broke. still they lasted a month after that, so that kind of speaks to their durability. cant really vouch for the audio quality though (front speakers excepted.)

if u look at the manual it tells u how to set it up for ps3.. u need to buy something for ps3 which is NOT included in the package. but 360 pc machines works with the stuff in the package. i should know. i got one of these.

When looking for info on this headset i seen that it said it would work on the 360 aswell as the PS3. But they didn't say the mic wouldn't work which sucks.

Tritton should put out an adapted to remedy this.

I got everything except the imic part at Radio Shack. The imic thing I got at a Mac store, but both the cords and the imic thing should be easily available online or at a good computer store.

Hey, so I'm looking for a new headset. How is the quality on this one, i mean i know its is 5.1 surround sound but can you hear little things like bullet fire and footsteps?

The quality is great, but you'll find yourself adjusting the levels for the chat and game volume alot. They tend to get muffled together from time to time.

But yeah you can hear EVERYTHING and pin point it from the gunfire to the footsteps of people sneaking up behind you.

Check out Turtle Beach headsets. They have a system which increases the chat volumes when the game gets louder.

I'd have to test it out. I don't see why not, in theory it should work. I was just hooking up the mic this way and using the optical cable jack for the rest of the sound, but I don't think it would be too big of a problem to channel both the mic and sound through the 1 in-line jack. I'll test it out and let everybody know.

Haha I used to do the same thing every now and then. I used a another thing with the mic and headphone in and USB. Till I decided to just use a USB headset on my PS3. Excellent sound. Much better then my bluetooth that came with Warhawk. Cool video man.
