@glenisah Soldiers are bound by UCMJ...so the question will be up to a courts-martial to determine if the General gave a "lawful order" or if he was in violation of the UCMJ.
If they find that the General gave a lawful order then the soldiers will be found guilty of violating an order.
I think however the General has ended his time in the Army.
