I think he would look better without the scar except that the animator specifically drew him to look good with it... some of the proportions and such would be different if it was intended that way. It would also be another eye, not just the same one mirrored, which would already make it look better.

You can accually see zuko without the scar in the episode where he has his metamorphisis, in ba sing se.Azula is the blue dragon and iroh is the red dragon. in that episode, zuko has really lonnnnngg hair and no scar..(That was his nightmare, the blue dragon was telling zuko to sleep.. and the red one was protesting... when zuko "slept" the blue dragon pretty much ate him hole but you dont see that all you see is her mouth opening to zuko so lol... hope you can find it
