To the friends and family of PD Jones, let me first say that my heart goes out to you. I know what its like to lose a extraordinary cowboy. But know that one day we shall see him again riding up to meet us when we cross into gods range. He's smile and laughter shall break any doubts or fears we've had or will have in seeing him again. So I say get back on your horse and get the work done here on our range before we have our eternal fun with PD again. God bless you all.
I met PD about 4 yrs ago after inquiring about one of his colts. We have been friends ever since. Anytime I had a question about one of my horses I could always count on him for great advice. I'm gonna miss our conversations, but feel blessed to have met him and will never forget him. Love you PD Jones!!!
Only talked to Bud on the phone and through a few e-mails. He was always most helpful, friendly, and had time to chat. A rough, old codger with a heart of gold.
I never got to meet the man in person. And more times than not when we spoke we argued. But even though we did not see eye to eye on most things he was always willing to answer a question about my horses.
I'm sure going to miss being called a little lib girl whose country depended on the (Great and mighty) US for protection, and being berated about my little fluffy stuck in a rent barn. But underneath that, there was a wealth of knowledge. I'm sad I was too timid to really tap into his knowledge while I could.

Hoping he winds up where good cowboys go.

I only talked to him a short while. I wish I had done more of that.
