@AlbedosRightHand Well, this means ... you do need another pair of eyes or another few pairs for that matter... My supervisor checked my thesis, then I handled it to my father, and finally to my girlfriend who's good at finding errors in text. Each of them found different stuff that needed to be revised. In your situation I'd try handling a few copies to good friends, that's always better then checking your work by yourself.
I'd suggest you edit your work by yourself :-) I mean revising spelling, grammar and typos isn't really that hard, while all the editorial work can be done with Latex-based tools like LyX for example (I wrote my BSc. thesis work in that application, 116 long, pages pretty much all I needed to worry about was if the content was ok, everything else was done by the program itself).
Lyx is a what-you-mean-is-what-you-get text processor, based on a Latex which is a document markup language for the TeX typesetting program. It's complicated to explain, Unlike MS Word or other traditional "what you see is what you get" systems where you manually align margins, set vertical and horizontal spaces ect. you know, generally take care of the whole visual side of the document, LyX using advanced Latex features handles that according to predefined "style" of document
Not only the font quality and overall feel of the document looks better than in standard word processors, you can aslo make it fully parametric, meaning that you can switch the titles of sections, change their location or move pictures around chapters, Lyx will notice that , and automatically update refereances, page numbering, footnotes everything .. :-) Lyx is still a bit rough, a freeware program in it's "0.xx stage", it has good documentation and tutorial build in, give it a try :)
What I need is actuall editing inlcuding small errors I make that processors don't normally find.

Most Scientific journals, books and papers are prepared for printing after being
edited with latex-based programs. Lyx is one of those programs. It takes a while to adjust yourself for working, or rather thinking in latex.
