Where in the hell did Freedom go? or what is he doing? does anyone know...I know my oldest son rocked to this when he was young...Other than Ratt & GNR...He was very open to a lot of music & I never stopped him from his own choosing..He's all about Lynyrd Skynyrd now & such...but still, I would like to know what happened to Freedom, caused I danced my ass off to this in my 20's..
para mis amigos del norte este grupo fue una locura, hacia bailar a todos a mi en especial me lo imagino en mi carro a todo volumen y a buena velocidad... que energia hermano
Yes, I agree C & C dominated the charts for a while in the 90s. No one was hotter than them when they were out, all their songs were #1 on all the charts. I loved Freedom Williams, I thought he was so talented, but he always remind me of Ice Tea or the other way around. I wish they would come back with great dance music again, because there arent any real good dance music around any more like this!!!
I remember when I was in juinor hight /middle school i use to dream of looking like him but i just couldnt put on weight. Now I smell food and i put on weight.LOL
But realy tho doesnt this song make you want to take your shirt off?
Agree with ye all - The era of dance has taken a downward slope in terms of vocals, video etc. Before i remember my parents and elders would refer to dance music as ' noise'... HOWEVER they still admired and could not deny the energy, positive vibe and fun videos of the early 90s. 99% of todays charts cannot blast out the vocals, they're weak and snychronising everything, the vocals are meaningless and as for the videos, they rely on sex to sell and have no reference whatsoever to the 'song'.
These guys way before their time Beyond greatness ..think ppl were not ready for them still today there Music are kick ass todays times...they will live for long time to come ....
I truly don't know what people who claim these folks fell short of fame or glory are talking about. They came out of nowhere and dominated like a colossus - rocking minds, bodies and booties for a solid year plus on the strength of an album that went QUINTUPLE PLATINUM.
C+C was huge. What exactly fell short? The followup! You can't just switch out your frontman and expect people to see it as the same band. The chemistry between your performers is important.
I'm confused as well. C&C were widely successful back in the day. I'm assuming it's younger people who weren't around (or old enough) in the early 90s who think they didn't get the fame they deserved.
I was about 7 when this came out. I LOVED IT then and i love it even more now and im 24. I've always been a techno freak. The early 90's was the most fun. Mid 90's was pretty cool too with the Macarena, N-Trance...
@Elbemarle Also C&C weren't really obscure. They produced Sweet Sensation, Seduction, and did remix albums for people like Janet Jackson, Bobby Brown, Paula Abdul, and on and on
.
Oftentimes music talent is hidden behind the scenes and people don't even know it. Like Cathy Dennis - she "disappeared" from the front but wrote 50 hit songs during the last decade. Likewise Cole and Clivelles was very active from 1985 to 2000 and behind most of the dance hits of that time
They were on their way to fame and glory, but the group broke up shortly after their producer, David Cole died. I do recall David Cole winning a Grammy for producing "The Bodyguard."
Most of us here commenting and watching the video love this music. Sadly there is one major reason they did not get the fame they should have gotten. They had clean lyrics. They didn't speak about hurting women, calling them foul names, or violence. This is REAL music here, not something mass produced or catering to the producers or management.
Obviously you really like the album. I think the real reason why they didn't get the fame was because they just weren't good enough. People don't like a product more because of violence, foul names, or hurting women. If it sounds good no matter what they say in the song, things will work itself.
I had this album and I liked it but the problem was most of the songs sounded the same.
Where on hell is Martha Wash's vocals???? They replaced for another woman singing in this release, and she don't have 1/10 of the voice that martha does.... :(((
FOTOCLEBER: Martha Wash never sang this song. She did sing on the first single, "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)," but not on this one. The female vocal on this is by (and aways were by) Zelma Davis. I was a DJ when this was popular, and remember the details very well.
Man, I remember doing the MC Hammer Running Man to this song back in the early 90's. This song was the ish at the time. Boy, we used to get down to this song back then. Love this song:)
Yeah thats why I hate goin to clubs these days man, they all play is crap nowadays with slutty ass britney spears, Beyonce, usher, T Pain, Kayne West.

WOW cant believe i am seeing this again. I remember when i was young in high school I wish I had a body like that. Now that I am way past that age I do hafe a body close to that. But realy this was just before the gansta crap came out and its such a difrence in quality.
@boonesusan I knew David Cole personally his whole family from great grand mother, grand mother, mother, and sister. I watched him grow up as a kid playing piano in church.
