Some companies like to abuse the ability to release dlc by basically making it required to finish the story of a game or overpricing it and adding just a couple new maps or characters or something, but other companies use it to really enhance the games at a fair price for those who want it. I've played RE4 on the GC, PS2, and PC, but have not tried the Wii version, but all I've played the GC version still has to be my favorite, as it truly pushed the GC hardware farther then any game on the little box the could. RE4 is for sure on my personal top10 list of games.
