Aussies call em torches too FWIW.I am amazed at how long that little can burns!I guess if you made a crude adjustabel sliding air intake ,you could govern the heat generated for cooking too. This would be a saviour for Third World countries that have little firewood, I imagine.Maybe it would work from dried & compacted, crushed cow dung in the harsh dry areas of Africa?
@spudmanchronic I would expect that charcoal dust doesn't have enough moisture to clump together like sawdust does. But if you ever try it post a vid. I'm sure it'll be very informative.
@Yankeeprepperasshat , Thanks for the reply my colonial friend, In the English Dictionary, it states that a torch is a portable means of illumination and a flashlight is an American word for a torch. Its not the Queens English, it is a colonial word for a torch.
@TheWaggaBloke Hello WaggaBloke, thanks for the comment, in the ENGLISH dictionary a STOVE is described as: cooking apparatus, the word COOKER is also desribed as: cooking apparatus. The cooking apparatus (to save any arguments) is used in third world countries where the weather is normally hot, but where sawdust is available.
Hey, Wagga, before you take it upon yourself to correct anyone's word usage, you may want to learn to check your spelling. Get it 'RIGHT'! 'Wright' means 'one who builds or constructs something, as a wheelwright. Write right! Also, 'normally' has two 'l's', and the word 'meant' has an 'a' in it. Within the space of one sentence fragment, you misspelled three words, had one indecipherable phrase and didn't capitalize. I'd save the English lessons if I were you.
@TheWaggaBloke However it could and propably is used in cold countries for heating as it would radiate alot of heat inside another drum. Maybe we could call it something like a RADIATOR or heating apparatus

That's a flashlight you got there, not a torch, ROFL.. people haven't used torches for hundreds of years. You can't fool your viewers.
