  • is it more accurate than the mosin?

  • @matthewHizzle Has a tighter bore then most Mosins but the trigger is about as bad lol.

  • 7.62X51 no 7.62X54

  • @josmarabdel1976 Say what?

  • @josmarabdel1976 are you saying there is no such things as a 7.62x54r rounds?

  • @MrDip02 The 7.62x54R has been around since the late 1800s, it is FAR older than our x51, It is at least 15 years older than the 30-06.

  • @cmblake6 oh i knew it was old but not that old that's pretty intresting

  • @MrDip02 At least 1891, if not earlier. And it is STILL a damned fine round!

  • @cmblake6 hahah you got that right

  • @josmarabdel1976 lol Nato

  • @josmarabdel1976 another person thinking he knows his rounds 7.62x54r is a russian ROUND USED FOR MORE THAN 100 of years -_-

  • بندقن طيبتن بالحيل على كم يالاخو مع زهلبهاا

  • Bejkäl

    lol

  • @VicariousReality7 Is that a question?

  • @VicariousReality7 Is that a question?

  • I'd love to have one of these. Do you know of any US dealers? I can't seem to find any results for this rifle in 7.62x54r.

  • @Gorbachev I think Remington imported them but im not sure in what calibers.

  • song name please

  • @loicjvbn In the hall of the mountain king.

  • Hi Scott, I picked up a Baikal in 7.62X39 and was wondering if you scoped yours and waht you used for a mount? With the receiver being so short, an airgun mount was suggested to me. Another thing, what did you use to hold down the front site lock spring so you could turn the screw up or down? Maybe my front site spring that locks the screw in place is just stiff but I cant push it all the way down with my thumb. I was thinking of a small pipe wrench with the jaws wrapped in cloth.

  • @nhop2005 I gave up on scope mounts because they always moved. Your sight must be stiff because I just push my sight down and turn the screw up or down by hand.

  • tienes videos de los agrupamientos

    saludos

  • Interesting weapon! I learned from a Russian friend of mine that the word Baikal is actually the name of a lake near the Artic in the northeast area in Siberia. They way the Russians say Baikal is Bakoo. I have a side by side Baikal 12 guage and an over an under as well. Baikal made good reliable weapons. I think Remington bought that company back in 2006.

    Good video!

  • @GOBRAGH2 hi, actually we are saying - [Baika:l]. not bakoo - this is not right. It is Irkutsk oblast[state] in Siberia. And it is not in the nothest area

  • @GudonuS Alright! Thanks for setting me straight. Would people from Moscow not know Irkutsk? Does it have anything to do with the Lake Baikal?

  • @GOBRAGH2

How is that everyone in the world knwes what's Baikal only Yankee dont, you shouldnt have said that, Europeans laught at U!

  • @FatherOfSin Europeans laugh at the USA for just about everything. Many Americans don't know how to say this word Baikal especially if they are not from Eastern Europe. They will say it the way it is spelled. People should know have to say the word correctly, but not everyone will care. I can't do anything about that.

Baikal makes very good shotguns. Definitely worth buying!

  • @GOBRAGH2 americans laugh at europeans because of the gun laws over there.

  • @FatherOfSin

...and Yankee's laught at the Europeans!

  • i was wondering if you knew anything about the TOZ-122 rifle?

  • @zzystaff Never saw one around here.

  • Pretty interesting rifle, thanks for sharing.

  • Just watched through your Mosin 91/30 videos and finished up here. When my friends question why I have so much praise for Russian arms, I think I can save time and show them your range videos, and save using my bullets.

  • its a great shotgun i have one !!

  • i got a baikal coach side by side. its a little thing. its also fun.

  • Winchester also made a lever action that use 7.62x54R ammo. I think it was the model 1894 ? or was it the 1895?

  • yeah 1895

  • What music is the intro?

  • In the hall of the mountain king

  • Thanks!

  • @majorporpoise From the play Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen. (I went to high school in Norway...)

  • Vimy Ridge Hunting & Tackle

  • I got a Finnish M39 in this caliber. (made in '43) I LOVE IT!! want a new rifle in this caliber, NOW I FOUND IT!! thank you!!!

  • How's that rifle working out for you over time? I'm going to pick one up in a couple of days, interested to know if you still like it?

  • Haven't had any problems with it yet.

  • It's pronounced more like "bye"+"cal", not "bay"+"cal" ;-)

btw, is it not ejecting cartridges when you break a rifle, or you do it carefully on purpose because you are saving cartridges for reloading?

  • It doesnt eject the cases...

  • stout recoil...Please don't tell me that gun has 11mm Dovetails...

Do they sell them is 7.5x55mm Swiss? :)

  • They don't come in 7.5x55 swiss.

  • I'd be willing to get one in 7.62x54r just to be able to hunt with it without having to take my heavy mosins in the field.

I killed a deer with my k31 from about 300 yards but I was sitting down and had a shooting stick.

    Thanks

  • lol i got that gun in 222rem. for foxes n rabbits over here in the nordic europe :) its a cheap gun wonder how cheap its over there :P but even though its cheap its got sum bad ass accuracy :) the trigger pull is aswell very though going to polish it and see if i can get it to be smoother :).

and i had sum trouble finding sum scope rings and to special order a rail for it :/ and grind sum metal of so it would closed properly :P. how do u like ur gun ?

  • It's a great little gun for draging around in the woods...I like hunting with my mosins but the safety sucks so this is the next best thing.

  • cool what kind of biggame do u hunt?:)

  • Black Bear,Whitetail Deer...

  • cool. so no moose?:/

  • If I get a moose tag next year...=]

  • ok :] hoping ill be bagging my first moose next weekend :P

  • good shooting real marksman

  • Nice video. I just bought a Baikal IZH-18MH 7.62x54R myself and I'm looking forward to shooting it. It has 11mm dovetails and I might put on a Weaver K 2.5x scope on it.

  • cool, nice shooting there GG, i have written down your info at the begining to try for when i attempt to reload.

    keep shooting.

  • I just put a scope on it and i'm going to start reloading with 150 grain bullets.I think the 125gr bullet might be a bit light for our deer/black bear.

  • not bad

  • A good looking rife. I have not seen one of those yet where I live. Very cool video.

  • 7.62 is used for most 30caliber rifles that fire .308-.310" bullets. 7.62mm is .30 not.308 thats is 7.82mm. 7.62mm is the bore size of the barrel where 7.82 would be the grove size...

  • how many rifles do you have? I thought 7.62 was .308 not .311 thats 7.7mm
