  • You can see how to play it...don't you think?you put on training your ears...but if you asked it for lazy...well,kinda sad...im cocky cause i learn almost all Aerials by my self (like guitar not bass), i saw tabs but i didn't like it cause my guitar doesn't sound the same...till i find out i needed a diferent tune X( ,then after learn how to play Toxicity, i made a mistake and find the beginning, then again i put the song and find out how to play the rest. There's a part where i got doub but...

  • Hey bro, do you think you could write a quick tab for seconds 25 to 38 please...i can't find it anywhere...thankkkss

  • Pretty good dude :)

  • you know, you kinda look like Cliff Burton.

  • What tuning is it?

  • awesome!

  • what kind of bass?

  • You look hella funny when you play, its a good funny though. KEEP ROCKIN!

  • On a scale of 1-10 how hard is this on bass? I mean it looks like a 4 but I'm gonna start playing bass so I want to know.

  • I just bought a bass and wanted to play this song ( Yeah, I'm new on this ) I watched this video and wanted to play it exactly like you did but it didn't sound similar. Is it because this is in a different tune ? ( Fuck my life lmao )

  • Sweet

  • man

im gonna buy the jumpstart pack which is that bass the ijs190 in black with an amp tuner gig bag cable strap and a lot of things for 299.00 @AceonAxe

  • Thanks!

  • doooode u totally look like cliff burton

  • nice dude... know i know how play the full song almosth like u

  • How do you get that tone??? i cant manage to quite get it out of my schecter or my fender. (through an ampeg)

  • Well my bass is an Ibanez and I plugged directly into a mixing board. The pickups on the bass has a set of jazz and a single percussion. Usually pickup arrangement has a big effect on tones.

  • Thanks!! =] are those active pickups? cuz i know all mine are passive and im not sure how big of a difference that makes

  • Whoops, i meant a single Jazz and a pair of percussion. :P

I'm pretty sure they are active. I know at least on of the pickups are (because of the battery). Might be a combo of the two.

Yes, it does make a difference for the tone. Not something I have too much experience with, since that majority of the time I play unplugged. :)

  • sweet! thanks man =] oh by the way very nice cover =] haha

  • @Lemmyshruya4o It makes a huge difference....that might actually be the problem...active is more punchy, that's why you hear it more in metal...it might also have to do with how haord he is hitting the strings

  • @Jakeocide cool dude. ya when i play i hit my strings real hard so i can get a more punchy tone. through my progression of learning more and more about guitars im considering putting in passive pickups to get that warm tone but using an active preamp to get punch. what do you think of that?

  • @Lemmyshruya4o while that might make sense now, I'm a big fan of active pickups, despite the lack of that for sure passive tone you can still make it sound nice and warm it all has to do with the EQ man. I would say start flat and turn the knobs that make it sound more punchy or warm. But your idea is good also. You just need to know that if you don't have an active bass in the first place it make take some heavy modding to get a battery slot

  • @Jakeocide Alright thanks a lot man! ya ive played some active warwicks that sound amazing. i guess it might just be a stubborn thing that i want passive pickups hahaha

  • @Lemmyshruya4o don't get me wrong though, some passive basses are amazing like most fender jazz basses and have you ever heard of WAL? but anyways, it maight also have to do with the amp he is using....seems like the gain is turned up so you might want to try that.

  • @Jakeocide I have heard of WAL. nothing really about them i just know the name haha. Youre right it is pretty gainy haha do you think it has anything to do with my speaker setup? I have one fifteen inch and tens seem a lot more popular...

  • aceonaxe, did you learn it with tabs of mahmoud makkieh ?

    tuning

    G

    C

    F

    C

    right?

  • I learned it by ear, but I used drop C, which is (low)C G C F (high)

  • great playing man. ALMOST perfect. :)

  • No problem! Glad you like it.

  • is tht an ibanez yr playin if so wat

  • Mhmm. Its an Ibanez soundgear SR 300 DX.

  • I dont see any mistakes! Great cover!

  • Thanks mate!

  • i have better question xD

i learn play bass too but i dont know from where i have to find nuts to song's. sry for my english xD

  • eh. i don't know, i use a pretty standard D-A-D-G tuning, when i play i end up playing the second higher part of the intro on the g string, 5th to 15th (i think lol) fret.

  • I'm playing in drop C. :P Which is C G C F

That's the tuning most SOAD songs are in.

  • yay i played along and my fingers feel like they'll drop, btw i dont think theres the slide at 43:00

  • Nah, I added a few things in to make it a bit more technical. :P

  • it sounds nice though:P

  • great cover!

  • great cover, but why didnt you just use the g string for the higher notes?

  • You mean the a string? haha

The tones slightly different from the thickness of the strings. And if you actually meant G, because bass sounds better with lower octaves.

  • eres muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy bueno :)

  • man great cover and i really didnt hear any mistakes!!!!5 stars!!!
