  • best sound record

    I love it....

  • A beautiful song, and well done for taking footage of the actual Nightingale singing, very rarely do you actually see them, as they're very good at hiding. :-)

  • absolutely beautiful<3

  • @kitttykat248 Thank you.

  • Thank you! It was wonderful!

  • A nightingale in Cambridgeshire... may be John Clare used to listen to this bird's ancestors

  • What a lovely thought. Or maybe he is a descendent of the nightingales Gilbert White wrote about in Hampshire.

  • Absolutlely marvelous songs!!! To see this wonderful singer in his nature is a rare treat!!! Please do post more of this....

  • Thank you Annie.

  • I love this so much I am posting it on a new thread on Firthsisters called, What a Wonderful World! love A:)xx

  • This is one bird I would love to video, you were lucky indeed. Well done

  • this is the first time I have ever heard a recording of a nightingale, truly a beautiful song. I think I might get emotional if I heard one in person thinking of you and your Heidi.

  • Marvellous - thanks so much for a rare treat

  • Thank you, Janet, yes it was a rare treet. It felt special to be alone with the singing nightingale for a few minutes.

  • Huh, I just noticed a typo: treet instead of treat. I must have been thinking trees.... tweet, tweet.... sweet .... Well, that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Now, check before posting ..... seems all right.

  • Thank you, Nadia. Do you have them in your country? We have them only in the summer to breed.

  • Oh dear Rosemarie, it's wonderful, nothing can be relaxing than this sound! I always love to hear them (at nights) but never I had seen them from near! Thanks so much for sharing, well done! :)**

  • Thank you so much! I've had a hectic day and this calmed me down. And by the way, happy birthday to your granddaughter that turns 19 today!

  • Totally and utterly amazing, dear R! You must have a great camera to capture the sound so well, and to see the bird's throat like that - incredible!

  • Thank you , dear Annie. I was so lucky today. My camera is relatively old, but still quite good, but I had problems with my new lightweight tripod. It was jerky. Should have taken the heavier one.
