  • when john died, fredo is really died.

  • in dog day afternoon, he was illed, it was his last movie. u can see that from his face. r.i.p johnny - your fan from iraq.

  • for those of you who thought the wedding scene was too long in the deerhunter, maybe they should have written in a couple fights, bombings, rapes, and a few murders during the wedding in order that it would meet the action quota of today's movies?

  • The fact is that there's ah little bit of John Cazale in all of us. Fear, despair, and vulnerability were never displayed better in movies than when Cazale starred. That's why he was so remembered as an actor.

  • @jasonpeng1 I agree. In The Godfather I and II, Fredo gets a bad rap for being sort of the black sheep of the family who obviously is not cut out to be a mobster, especially in the top tier of a Mafia family. But let's face it, how many of us in real life would be cut out for something like that....honestly? I know I don't think I could commit murder as easily as Fredo's father and brothers.

  • @Cluebert Thats exactly what it was...

  • this film sucks. The plot is rather implausible, the russian roulette shit was overplayed. The only really good part of the film is the music score and cinematography.Meryl was really lovely here too.Forgot to mention the wedding sequence.Way too long!

  • John Cazale was in all of my all time favorite films:

    The Godfather

    The Godfather part 2

    Dog Day Afternoon

    The Deer Hunter

    The Conversation

  • It's a shame that Cazale passed away. He was bound to have a great career and be remembered as one of the greats like Pacino and De Niro. Every film he's been in is a masterpiece. Rest in peace.

  • Cazale looks much frailer in the earlier scenes of 'Deer Hunter' than he does in the ones after Michael (De Niro) returns from Vietnam.

  • He'll be eternely missed.. such great performances and so much charism.. if you have the time, have a look on James woods's speech at Meryl streep's AFI. He is talking about it and you can see Meryl is still really really hurt about John's death.. he was one of the greatest really.. xx R.i.p

  • A very underrated actor!

  • @bukkake999 fuk u bitch!!

  • this guy was in 5 movies, and they were all nominated for best picture...

    coincidence?

  • like so many culture, the arts, music, theater......Europeans are leaps and bounds ahead of Americans...... Merci beaucoup Sully

  • Woww fuuuck this was a bad son of a bitch

  • Thanks so much John Cazale, you will remain in our heart for the great moments yr offered to us

  • a lovely soundtrack by mario puzo :)

  • @bassdude250194 Mario Puzo wrote the Godfather book! The music of the movie is made by Nino Rota!

  • an excellent actor; a true pity he passed away so early.

  • Thank you so very much for this !!!!

  • an actor who would just break your heart with a look, he will never be forgotten

  • meryl was married to him or was getting married to him + the is a new thing out called I Knew It Was You: Rediscovering John Cazale (2009), a story of his life it is good

  • died young

    :(

  • oh My fucking Bloody god he IS THE GREATEST the different gay in every movie my IDOL Cazale what a work in DOg day afternoon and what a work in Deer hunter. you died there with mar yl streep in tour wavelenth. Im mexican and i love you you dont have any IDEA

  • grande attore!!!!

  • This was a touching tribute to a remarkable actor. Although Cazale's acting career was relatively short, he appeared in perhaps the best films of the '70's--Godfathers I and II, The Conversation, Dog Day Afternoon, and The Deer Hunter. God bless you, John!

  • When they found out Cazale had brain cancer, they talked of replacing him in DH- Streep and DiNiro threatened to walk out, so they used him and shot all his scenes first in that movie

  • he had bone cancer.

  • R.I.P FREDO

  • he died in 1978???

  • rip john

  • Yes he was a good actor.

  • R.I.P !!!!

  • I heard Al Pacino called him his acting partner, see him in Godfather I and II and Dog Day Afternoon you'll see why.

  • "I know how to run THINGS. I'm SMARTTT, not dumb like everybody says!!!!!"

Nice Video. What a shame. he was a Great actor. I Love in "Dog Day Afternoon, when when Sonny (Al Pacino} asks Sal (Cazale) what country he wants fot fly to, and SAL says "Wyoming"

  • He reminds me of an uncle of mine, who also died at 42.He looked just like him.Very skinny, with a nice mustache and a strange look.God bless his soul

  • C'était un remarquable acteur, effectivement.

  • "Take CARE of me? You're my kid brother, Mike! And you take care of ME? Did you ever think about that? Did you ever ONCE think about that?"- Fredo Corleone

    Great Actor!!!!

  • the best

  • Send Fredo to do this, send Fredo to do that, send Fredo to get some guy from airport...etc.. :DDD

  • Cazale was from Boston? No shit! Didn't know that! So am I! If only he were still alive. He had soooo many great roles ahead of him.

  • Wow Cazale died right after D hunter

  • No,he died during Dear hunter. He had to do his scenes the first because he didn't have enough time to live.He never saw the movie.

  • No he didn't.He died shortly after completing the film and yes he never saw him.

  • The Deerhunter is probably the best movie I've ever seen in my life. A masterpiece.

  • well i believe that The Deerhunter is severely overrated by fans.

The Godfather 1 and 2, Chinatown, Citizen Kane, Apocalypse Now, Raging Bull, Casablanca those are the true masterpieces.

Deerhunter was a pretty good experience though, i thought it focused too much on Russian Roulette.

Apocalypse Now is a far superior war film.

  • I get thumbs down for my opinion.

but John Cazale is one of the greatest actors ever "I am your older brother mike, you take care of me?".

  • @kurucfaszomat The Deer Hunter is crap. A group of 35-year-old men decided to join the army? Whatever.

  • A truly great actor who blessed with us his acting for a short time that will live forever.
