Have you every read the manga? Read the manga please. First off (Spoiler) Akito is a girl. Second off Akito isn't that mean to Tohru in the manga.

If you haven't read the manga you hardly know anything about Kyo either. And Tohru, is NOT that innocent. Trust me.

The anime is a fuck up, don't believe anything it tells you. Everything it says about Akito is a lie too.

It's starts at volume 6 but if you're planning on reading the manga I'd start from first volume. A lot of things are different in the manga and it's kinda hard to notice at first but once you get further in the story you'll see. Otherwise you'd get confused.

I suppose that was their solution for giving him drama in the anime. I know in the manga her father was sick and died young so that's why Akito is always sick, plus her mother was mentally sick so that's why Akito is a little crazy as well.

Kyo's true form is part of his curse. Before he transformed in front of Tohru he'd transformed once in front of Kagura, & once in front of Akito & Shigure. & in front of his mother. Akito, Kagura, & had all rejected it & run away, & his mother rejected him completely, so he thought Tohru would also reject him. Does that answer your question? If not, tell me what you don't get & I'll try to explain it.

Shigure sleeps with Akitos mother, and then with akito Because she has feelings towards him, where he only has the Curse that makes him love her.. in the manga, shigure is a 'bad guy':P using people like tohru, and affecting the other cursed ones lives, through akito. so.. Rin has nothing to do with it :P

But shigure is just using akitos mother/akito for his needs.
