why are you usin a bunsen burner

No, I am not using gas of course. I connected the bunsen burner to air supply. Sorry if this is not clear. I am using the burner because the nozzle creates a nice air flow that I needed.

I`m all for a little experimenting, but pumping gas out of an unlit bunson burner, just to float a ping pong ball is a little crazy.....lol

I am not using a bunsen burner, just using air directly from the air valve on the console cabinet. Sorry if this doesn't seem very clear

It shows Bernoulli's principle because the air in the middle is moving faster, and therefore has lowere pressure, due to bernoulli's principle. The higher pressure air pushes the ping pong ball back into the faster air because it is in the way.

Use a hair-dryer or something that blows a concentrated flow of air. The rest is physics =D, as explained by "wowachicken".

You can also do this in the sink by tying the ball to a string, and holding the string. When the water begins to flow, it begins to do the same thing as with the air.
