May I ask, do you record these Skytrain journeys as time lapse sequences or do you use software to generate the sequence from a real time video.

@bwboyle I use a video camera in real-time and then speed it up in editing. I've tried the DSLR way, but I don't like missing things. It's not capturing the whole event the other way, as far as I'm concerned...this is. I don't mind the trade-off in quality to get the whole event without missing a second of it.

@lyonminimal I haven't actually given this track a name. Right now, it's #46. I just number tracks until I finish them, and this one isn't done yet...this is just a bed track, and not the whole song. You can hear my other music on soundcloud if you search for 'radiofreebc'. Glad you like it...that song was the end result of a fun evening playing with Reason in my apartment.

The below grade section is really well lit. Here in Toronto our subway tunnels are just depressing pitch black caverns.

@rakeshravisankar I thought about doing this same thing in Montreal when I was there, but you can't get up front on the cars like you can in Vancouver. Le Metro is amazing...love the rubber tires.

How does the train even get its power from that cord that is on the outside of the track(cord in yellow thing) does it touch it or something? or is the rail electrical?

The electrification source that you're referring to is called a third rail. It lies on the outside of the tracks. The train has what is called a pickup that hooks up to the rail for power.
