It's my cougar....this was filmed over 3 years ago.

1st, the focus was slightly modified, Cougar only has K&N drop in filter.

2nd, my cougar has autmatic tranny, which means 10,4s from 0-100kmh.

3rd, I shifted manuly and whell... you can se what happens. It's completly different storry from 100kmh+

Overall, Cougar with automatic tranny is far far away from being fast car, but I did over 100.000km with mine.

Nothing gone wrong, very reliable...nice cruiser with decent mpg.

i used 2 have a 1.6 zetec s saloon focus and it done 130 m/h with 5 people in the car and 300 revs left so it wold well get 140m/h if i took the people out and done the extra 300 revs

the 2.5 v6 cougar with the single exhaust is pretty damn slow.. i have a 2002 mitsubishi galant ES and i can rock my friends 2000 cougar all day every day

my 2.0 zetec would beat most v6s its got a ford motor sport chipset and has been race tuned by a prodrive race mechanic.

If you can burn a 1.6 Focus off with an Auto, then a decently tuned manual Cougar V6 should be plenty capable of wasting it! Certainly, I've embarassed plenty of repmobiles with mine!

if the 2.5 v6 cougar can hardly beat a 1.6 4cyl focus, and my 2.4 4cyl galant can smoke the 1.6 focus, then i can pretty much smoke the 2.5 cougar

I think the imrc of the cougar is defect. A normally cougar accelerat over 3700rpm verry faster.

I had a 2001 Mercury Cougar with a 2.5L Duratec V6 and I loved that car. About two weeks ago a guy ran a red light and T-boned me, totaling the front end of my car. My father refuses to allow me to get another one and is basically FORCING me to get the new Ford Focus... the ugliest car I have ever seen.

I would seriously do anything to have my Cougar back.
