I'll agree with some, not with others. It is more of a toy than anything as far as practicality is concerned. It's a little cumbersome for CCW purposes, and the .50 cal is a little much unless you're hunting Bigfoot. It does however make one hell of a conversation piece among weapons enthusiasts. Show this pistol to a friend that truly appreciates firearms and watch the reaction. IMO, it's fun to take out to shoot once in a while but has more value as a display piece in one's weapons gallery.
The fetish on this weapon is really annoying. If it wasn't in Counter-Strike, it wouldn't even have been very popular. Professionals agree that the weapon is nothing but novelty, and in a real firefight it's nothing but overkill and extremely inferior to any rifle. There's no such thing as power when it comes to guns; a 9mm can kill you just as easily as a .50AE can.

a revolver is classed as a pistol and also is all depends on how u power factor your loads and the smith and wesson has a longer cartridge so i spoe u could fit more powder behind it.the desert egal is also way to heavy to use paracticaly

pistols and revolvers are different. they are both handguns. desert eagle is cheaper, and people who think its too heavy honestly shouldn't be using it in the first place. have you ever FELT how heavy a s&w .500 is? you think desert eagle is heavy, feel the s&w.

I dont know to much about guns, i just love deagle, so i was randomly puting pictures on the video i didnt even look what kind of pictures i was puting there !!! So, last night i was watching movie "red heat" of arnold schwarcenegger and i saw him using that gun on 0:21 on my video and he said it was russian gun, so can you tell me what that gun is if you know, is that deagle or not? it might not b cause the picture is a bit pixelated but it still looks like a desert eagle but with the 10 inch barrel instead of the 6 inch thats all. about it being russian it might of been a cheap immitation but generaly movies and video games(yess even if it is cod4) are a really bad source of infomation but he mabey correct. but im 99% sure that is a still a desert eagle

I'll agree with some, not with others. It is more of a toy than anything as far as practicality is concerned. It's a little cumbersome for CCW purposes, and the .50 cal is a little much unless you're hunting Bigfoot. It does however make one hell of a conversation piece among weapons enthusiasts. Show this pistol to a friend that truly appreciates firearms and watch the reaction. IMO, it's fun to take out to shoot once in a while but has more value as a display piece in one's weapons gallery.

The fetish on this weapon is really annoying. If it wasn't in Counter-Strike, it wouldn't even have been very popular. Professionals agree that the weapon is nothing but novelty, and in a real firefight it's nothing but overkill and extremely inferior to any rifle. There's no such thing as power when it comes to guns; a 9mm can kill you just as easily as a .50AE can.
