  • soldier in jew israel american = in hell iblis

  • Favorite movie ever! i'd the courage of that little kid...

  • I didn't think black soldiers were allowed to fight in front line infantry units something to do with the racist policy of the times? thoughts?

  • @bommer321 It took pressure in US to let them fight; foolish imo.

But internet has wealth of info on the subject.

Ive heard 1 viewpoint that US high command did not want repeat of WW1 when black troops fought with distinction while attached to French Army which awarded medals to them for valor. Made US look bad.

My British mom saw a riot once between Wh/Blk GIs in 1944, before D-day. Said it was vicious. Her 1st insight into America's race problem, and before she even got here.

  • this movie sucked, horrendously

  • @ruleireland6 Wow you actually disabled comments on your channel? Jesus dude WTF? Its just for fun.

  • @SuperGrinder2 naw i just didnt want n e more gay comments by u on there,

  • @jferr49 i am an american you dumbass! i was just saying the truth! if whites were also facing criticizm based on there race, you bet your ass they will fight much harder! And i respect the fighting abilities of the german soldiers, too bad they were fighting for the wrong evil reason!

  • @jferr49 i am an american you dumbass! i was just saying the truth! if whites were also facing criticizm based on there race, you bet your ass they will fight much harder!

  • Black Americans demanded to fight. Hope I don't sound patronising. Just something I keep picking up on.

  • you know If the film just focused on a lest say a group of soldiers from 2nd platoon George Company of the 92nd Division. The film would have been alot better. Don't get me wrong it's a good film. But it broadened too much that it lost quite a bit of it's focus. (my opinion) Alot of films follow that format I described and it always work

    E.G.

    Band of Brothers

    Hamburger Hill

    Black Hawk Down

They fought for the Motherland (Soviet WW2 film)

Full Metal Jacket. Etc, etc, etc.....

  • fuck all racists

  • and oh yes!! black and asian soldiers are better fighters than white ones, because many blacks and asians feel obligated to prove there worth and have to fight harder in order to avoid racial based criticizm and to achieve recognition !! That is the truth!! handle it!! oh yes and latinos too, sorry !! so blacks, asians, latinos always better than white soldiers :)

  • FILME FANTASTICO !!!!

  • NIGGERS CANT DO MOVIES. THEY SHOULD GO BACK TO AFRICA

  • @gpay88 Haha! Racism! Wait... It's not funny. Bigots like you should burn in hell.

  • @aaron555444333

haha, you nigger lover. This movie sucks ass. Maybe becouse they let niggers play in it. They should get a real actors and let these neggers have a banana and let them go into the wild

  • @gpay88 tonight i had a vision: my dog raped your mother and you had to watch, after that i splattered her brains over your face, after that i made you walk into the Bronx. This will happen LOL

  • @gpay88 racist much!! this movie was awesome! and im white kikikiki i wish you a slow , agonizing death, then i wish you burn in hell for eternity!!! which of course you will !!hihihihi, ohhh yes and i wish all your family dies with you!! hihihihi few less maggots in this world ,would be just nice =^.^=

  • @11mrjarjar

    hahha,you NIGGER LOVERS :)

  • @gpay88 You should take a look inside yourself.

  • OK, Spike, so when the Sam Hill are you going to make a film about the 371st and 372nd Infantry Regiments during 1918? If ever there were *American* soldiers whose story is long past being told on the big screen, it is the astonishing heroism of these Black American doughboys who were attached to the French Army's 157th "Red Hand" Division and fought in the Hell of the trenches in the infamous Verdun sector that is in danger of being forgotten by too many Americans, and deserves to be told.

  • Wait black soldiers fought in European during WWII? That's hard to believe, did they make this up?

  • @NgJackal1990 Are you being sarcastic, or are you really asking? Assuming you're asking, Google the US Army's 92nd "Buffalo" Division in the Italian Campaign. Also, look up the 761st Tank Battalion "The Black Panthers." Despite the white racist dregs of the US Army's officer corps that the 92nd Division was lumbered with, the 92nd Division fought just as well as the bulk of the US Army infantry divisions in the MTO and ETO. The 761st Tank Battalion was downright *heroic* in its conduct...

  • fuck niggers

  • I think this unit would have been better done in the style of Band for Brothers, showing not just a small squad but the whole unit's story from start of the war to its end.

  • @roaklin LOL, that's because it's fiction on believing that this Nigger unit could match up to the Whites in Band of Brothers. You don't see too many Niggers in the Paratroopers and Rangers back then and now. Even Affirmative Action can't change that since it's all about ability and not some Liberal Communist skin colored diverse filling quota. Niggers can't swim worth shit and they also can't handle extreme cold temperatures like how Whites can.

  • @WeAxeGhettoNiggers5 oh yes go talk sh*t about Racism.........let me tell you,American Soldiers got the best equipment and training and supply specially they are Airborne.........now this Buffalo Soldiers were in the Army and treated badly in fact their Officers are Whites and there is many discrimination in their Company............if it wasn't for them the 7th Cav which is made famous by General Custer in Little Big Horn will be Massacred again. i am not Black but i am against Racism.

  • @WeAxeGhettoNiggers5 man you are ignorant. whether you beleive it or not the blacks and the whites where trained to fight the same war. hell even now blacks and whites are fighting this war togather. man are you in the military? have you ever been in?

  • dont you just love the way french and british get left out of the list? the french and british gave more to save europe then what the yanks did... the yanks where the feather that tipped the scale. nothing more.

  • @ESPmiguelUK Big ass feather, thousands of aircraft, millions of tons of food, supplies, ships, tanks, trucks, guns., fuel, yeah we contributed nothing. France fell in weeks, England on the verge of collapse many times until Lend Lease went into effect oh which started with the 50 AMERICAN destroyers sent to the RN to keep convoys going, or how about the AMERICAN seaplane provided to the Coastal Command that found the Bismarck. Learn your history.

  • @roaklin yes, US did supply some ships/planes at a cost. you ever hear the " battle ships for the loaning of terretories" deal? they FINALY entered the war out of their own interests and yes you used your own equipment, congratulations. Commonwealth nations helped us more than america. Also It's called The United Kingdom of Great Britain, not England, learn your countries boy. GB / CA pilots defeated the last real threat of the luftwaffe / german invasion force. not you.

  • @ESPmiguelUK Ah you mean like how it wasn't until the British Army started using Lees, Grants and Shermans to fight Rommel in North Africa they had tanks that could fight the Africa Korps head on. Or the US built merchant ships such as the SS Ohio a US BUILT ship that saved Malta with a load of badly needed fuel. Or the American radar installed on RN battleships and warships. Yes that deal was arranged by Americans so they COULD provide warships to the British with out declaring war.

  • @roaklin everything we used that was built by usa, we payed for ( the final bill was payed by PM Tony Blair) . Also dont get me started on radar, its a well known fact that it's a british invention, Also the usa only helped to protect trade for their own interest, British and french money payed for what the usa is today. USA just played their part, just as Britain and france did. usa only joined so the British and French Empires wouldnt be so friendly with russia

  • @ESPmiguelUK oh sure you weren't winning the war unitl the yanks came to help you out!

  • @mjjcng8958 That war was won because of an *Allied* effort, paid for in large part by the blood of circa 20 million *Russians* despite the RAF saving the British Isles from invasion in 1940. US material and technical support helped transform and sustain the British Empire's war effort until the very end. It is always the cardinal sin of the historian to judge the past through modern eyes. Without us, I expect England would have survived. Working together as *Allies,* we all won that war TOGETHER

  • The 7th Cavalry was entrapped the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. The 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers rescued the 7th Cavalry.

Read the novel, Rescue at Pine ridge, the story of the rescue of the famed 7th Cavalry by the Buffalo Soldiers, and visit website; rescue at pine ridge. com. The novel embodies Native Americans, Outlaws and Buffalo Soldiers, in the days of the Native American Wars with the approach USA. Story is about, brutality, compassion, reprisal, bravery, heroism and gallantry.

  • Hey guys, I really liked this film, specially the Deutsche Sprache Teil. Doch, ich denke, die Saving Private Ryan film besser ist. The ambush part, in the woods, that was brutal and viceral, made me think of how cruel and cold war can be. Over all, this is a great film that did not get its earned recognition. Spike Lee, the best!

  • In my opinion this is Spike Lee's best film! No other film that he has directed has evoked so much emotion in me-it's just a powerful piece of work. I shared this DVD with my great uncle, who's in his early-70's) and when he gave it back to me, he said he would never watch this movie again because it made him cry; this movie can make any man cry if he can appreciate its epic proportion and beautifully crafted plot.

  • My favotrite war film will always be A Bridge too Far but this is definitalty up on the same level with pearl harbor and saving private ryan.

  • my great grandfather was a buffalo soldier in wwII so i found the movie rather exciting

  • @laziago yo are doing pretty well

  • Keep telling that history; read some great military history.

How do you keep a people down? You 'never' let them 'know' their history.

The 7th Cavalry got their butts in a sling again after the Little Big Horn Massacre, fourteen years’ later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. If it wasn't for the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, there would of been a second massacre of the 7th Cavalry. Read the novel, and visit website, rescue at pine ridge. com

  • Great some stupid African American trying to change history and i am not saying all are stupid to anyone that thinks that.

  • partisans and anti fascists hated of course fascists and nazists but they were friends of americans and other allias after alliance. They helped them to explore the territory with the maps of italy where there were nazists and they were in radio contact wih them.

So I dont figure out why you claim italians hated you..

  • The fascists allowed to nazists coming to s.anna about the massacre of italians not the partisans. Shame of you Spike Lee !!!!!!

Plus many italian cities and villages were been freed by nazifastis from Partisans Not from americans. And american were been helped by partisans who leaded them with the territory map of Italy to find out nazists and shoot them.

But any movie narrate that! Why?

  • I'm italian my grandparents were partisans. This movie is false and it offends terribly the truth and the partisan resistence in Italy.

It's a great shame the director movie recieved many letters from ANPI the partisan assocaitions in Italy while he was shooting the movie for correcting him about the historic mistake. But he kept on to shoot with the same false story.

  • i love this film...

Samuel "Big" Train, the chocolate giant...

"you can't hit me! i'm invisible!"

  • THis bitch below me don't know shit, this was probably one of the most epic movies i've ever seen. You were probably hopin to see 3 freaking hours of blood guts and stupid ass shit.

I personally think this is a great movie, a good mixture between violence and friendship and i especially love the religious aspect to it. This movie is DEFINATELY underrated.

  • i thought the movie was extremely boring and tiresome. i was rather thrilled when i heard of this movie the 92nd infantry division did some extremely hard fighting in notthern italy. but this movie does barely not show it.

could be cause of budget i dont know. but i think its a bit sad that they did this movie the way they did.

  • Why can't they make a movie about Canadian and American soldiers working together...

  • Spike has shown to be ignorant to history so I'll pass on anymore of his "films."

  • A very powerful movie. And a great tribute for 4 black soldiers. It has the Spike Lee touch with the Italian way of film, and it has a huge international cast of german and italian actors.

  • @mp512345 Its a small world, DEAL WITH IT!!

  • I saw this movie on DVD. I didnt think I would like it much because of the reviews. But I ended up liking it a lot.

  • Keep telling that history; read some great military history.

  • Excellent movie. It is sad that the controllers want to play races against each other, but that way, they keep everyone divided and conquered. This movie took a step beyond that and brought out the best, and worst of all people. A human being is a human being, no matter what race, religion, or creed they happen to come from, and a jerk is a jerk with the same aforesaid notions. I am glad movies such as this are coming out and showing real history. Thanks for putting the video on!

  • I gotta c this movie

  • Fu-kin classic movie! A throwback to real moviemaking

  • This movie looks great. Spike Lee bothers me though. He plays the racist card all the time, yet he is very racist himself, in my opinion.

  • Read the book "Spike Lee: That's My Story and I'm Sticking to It".

While he was in college, his mother died suddenly and his father married a white Jewish woman. He and his siblings didn't get along with her and it broke up the family.

He's still pissed off that his father married a white woman, and it shows in his movies. He always portrays white women as evil temptresses, or condescending white liberals.

  • Its a shame so many black soldiers died for a country that hated them. Google the American Eugenics Movement or Eugenics

  • @BEnsayne excuse me why you are claiming that? Italians civile didnt have time for hating no one during the war...to survive was been almost a miricle under all the american bombardaments before of 43 the fascists and nazists concentration camps for antifascits and jowels, the poverty, the hungry, the fear, and after 43 under the german bombardaments and occupation....so why you claim italians hated you?

    Please answer me.

  • @milly8389 I meant fought and died for American beliefs and values while America has tried its best over the years to reduce any respectable African American movement into a mockery

  • Outstanding film to say the least.

  • dont get me wrong...oh wait, i dont care get this the way you want..

i thought this to be the most awful pro negro film ive ever seen...besides this abomination turnes and twisted history in a matter ive never seen before..it truly and utterly sickens me..

  • its been estimated now over 70million died in the second world war more than half civilians. Not just the jews but all over the world when i say this I mean the pacific.Islanders commited mass uicide because of the japanese imperial marines described the U.S as monsters over 4 million men served in the united states military and 400,000 died,M.i.a or wounded. 1/4 of the men who served were african american 1million black troops.I am Black soon I will be a marine war is nasty but so is life

  • the Diffrent is that you have a choice they didn´t.

  • there I can perfectly confirm the subject atrocities by the German soldiers with the Italian population... a sad story. then also today the boy Italian or the "Italian fascist" try again hatred towards the German Nazi. and I say that there is a great differanza between fascist and Nazi. (the fascist principle is not racist)

  • in Italy the Germans were very famous for their..methods with the Italians.. one of the first cases..at el alamein General rommel to opinion the ass used Italian soldiers.. and deserved respect and honour of the English.. as the paratroopers Italian of the dv.Folgore. then in Greece Italian soldiers believed to return home..were all killed by the Germans..that they believed friends. as in this film kill also civilians. 1 dead German must pay 10 Italian

  • The poor slaves of the USA sent around the world as cannon fodder .... good film, shame that Spike Lee has apologized to partisan groups in the film .... basically told the truth ....

massacre was made after the fault of partisans who have caused the Germans abandoned after use civilians as shields.

  • The truth shall set you free...sour or sweet!

  • false story

  • This was one of the few ww2 pieces that showed the human side of the germans instead of showing them as vicious monsters.

  • Watch "Joe & Max" Its the story of these 2 great boxers Joe Louis and Max Schmeling. Both of them boxng against each other when the U.S. and Germany were just about to go to war.

Max, a german, was an awesome sportsman. And he never bought into Hitler's BS. He was Joe's best friends for years.

And both of them were drafted for war. Survived. Joe got fucked over by the IRS. So he got the shit end of the stick. Max did a little better. Its a great movie. I highly recommended it

  • YES!! Not all Germans are monsters!! Thats's what Americans teach you!

  • Aw man, dude, you should read "The Forgotten Soldier" seriously. That book is amazing. And then try "Russians Don't Surrender" "Russians Don't Cry" and "White Mammoths"

  • The true story is an amazing story. The film has nothing to do with the true story.

  • how stupid. And you are not tired of the endless whining by the jews like steven speilberg demonizing the germans through movies that harp on the same thing over and over? What about the 50 million HUMANS who died in WWII? Why bitch/moan over the jews for 50 years? Just like terrorism didn't start in 2001, WWII is NOT about the jews dying in germany. It is MUCH more important than the jews.

  • yup thats true oh and 60 milllion people died not 50

  • Point perfectly taken, I coundn't agree more. I'm absolutely not antisemitic but WW2 was a tragedy for the whole human race not just for Jews.

And let's not forget that suffering along with everyone else there were the Germans too; it's very easy to portray them as monsters, ignoring the causes which made it possible for someone like Hitler to sieze power.

No nation is free from guilt in the WW2 scenario and no nation can get all the blame.

  • exactly and how young americans were dragged into a war they didn't start and die in foreign lands that meant nothing to them....its tragic

  • @Ooga001 AMerican would not go on war if it's for jews in the first place..

  • The 7th Cavalry got their butts in a sling again after Little Big Horn, fourteen years later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. If it wasn't for the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, there would of been a second massacre of the 7th. Rescue at Pine Ridge. com.

  • the 7th cavalry were given 21 'medals of honor' for killing 400 indians, mostly woman & children& old men- at Wounded Knee.

the Buffalo soldiers did a dis-service to the country by saving those' killers' of Indians.

that is one time when the Buffalo soldiers should have been fighting against the 7th, to protect the native people from 'the butchers of custers 7th.

maybe the 9th forgot about a few years before 1861, when most of them were in bondage- being treated worst than cattle.

  • The film did not have a major star to advertise an unknown point in war history, and America didn't back the movie, the Italians produced the movie along with Spike Lee.

  • Here's what Boston Globe film critic Wesley Morris, an African-American, wrote about the film: "2 out of 4 stars"......."This movie is too many things without one of those things ever breaking your heart or boiling your blood. "Miracle at St. Anna" is not work of outrage or joy. It's something distressingly new for the filmmaker: a work of obligation. It feels like a movie Lee made in order to say he did it."...the film, despite its noble topic, was not well made -- don't play the race card

  • JohnnyTRex99 - u say don't play the race card, but you put up a critic quote, and than try to make it more significant by saying, "an african american". So hypocritical. To your question of why it didn't make it, I just don't think people understood historically what was going on enough for them to connect with the story. And enough people were not familiar with James McBrides book, but I have to disagree with the other commenter. Touchstone/Disney promoted the movie pretty thoroughly.

  • Sorry, BTM, but I don't see my citation of Mr. Morris as hypocritical. To use a another card game cliche "my hand was forced" by those claiming that the box office failure of this film was due to prejudicial white audiences. Since I knew this was not the case (the films Glory & A Soldier's Story were both $uccessful), I felt I needed to quote someone not considered part of the white movie-going public was being blamed.

  • JohnnyTRex - well put.

  • BTM, I strongly agree with you regarding the public's failure to understand this film (and many recent war films) . The problem, IMHO, is that making a war film involves taking a complex situation and trying to simplify. I think the Thin Red line and Pearl Harbor suffer from the same directoral folly -- although Pearl was saved financially by those caught up in the love triangle sub-plot.

  • JohnnyTRex- I will agree that making a War film is a complex expedition, and at this point in my career, I have no desire to try to make a War film per se. I am not a critic, I am a journalist and a producer, so I will save opinions about the Direction of this film to the critics and fans like you. I'll just say that I think it lost commercial potential because it was not Gettysburg or Normandie or something that was familiar to a lot of people. St. Anna does not mean a lot to American kids?

  • JohnnyTRex - I mean this wasn't a story that i remembered from history, and the book, which i believe is a great novel, is not something that was celebrated in American Literature. So I think it was an element. If Spike had did a movie about the Civil War, or something else, he may have connected more commercially, but part of being a good filmmaker is taking risk.

  • The 7th Cavalry got their butts in a sling again after Little Big Horn, fourteen years later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. If it wasn't for the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, there would of been a second massacre of the 7th. Rescue at Pine Ridge. com.

  • why did this movie fail at the box office?

  • i think because alot of white people took it offensive because its about how the white men sent the black soldiers in

  • America didn't back this movie...ie, Paramount, Sony, Warner Brothers etc. It was back by the Italians, for the Italians knew who the real heroes were... America doesn't like telling stories of Black Men doing hero work...

  • good movie and I was hoping Hector would live at the end, but poor Train and hwo did you pass the army fittnes training?

  • this movie was official i cried at the end...

  • inshstien fon mine curri stah guneshur mooch riech

  • This movie was awful. I'm sorry. It seemed too fake, and too cheesy. I don't discredit the contributions the Buffalo Soldiers of the 92nd, but this movie was a total failure.

  • Its ok, its your opinion, but the movie was based on a true story.

  • Not entirely, it's actually inspired by the Sant'Anna di Stazzema massacre. But these events never happened in real life. It's loosely based on the massacre.

  • Umm....No it wasn't. The movie was based on a book, which was based on a fictional story.

  • the massacre at st anna was real, but their story wasnt

  • spike lee is the best man

  • Die Deutschen hätten den Krieg gewonnen! In uns marschiert Deutschland und hinter uns liegt Deutschland folgt! Die Deutschen zahlenmäßig die Amerikaner von fünf bis eins!

  • I loved this movie. :)

    But it's kinda sad.

  • hollywood cliche movie #82,992

    gar-bage

  • Premesso che non amo la guerra il video è interessante e molto affascinate!!

  • this is a movie worth buying as dvd, can't say that about much of the garbage coming out of holywood

  • i was really not feeling any of what they were saying in this review.

    it was hardly epic

it did not seem to put forth the concept that we are all suffering from the same thing....

it had racial meaning....but it really was not that good of a movie. Glory did way better expressing that concept and it was epic.

the battle scenes in this movie suck pretty bad too. lots of camera shots of closeups on guys shooting but not showing too many ppl getting shot. 3d person view from behind is better.

  • this movie fails 3 out of 4 main characters die and the one alive goes to jail

  • he never went to jail. Angelo paid his bail

  • only nerds write "fails" wtf is wrong with kids these days lol

  • It's the internet. Get over it.

  • time for your medication dipshit.

  • are you glad you got that off your chest... now go kill yourself..

  • it is not a real history from Sant'Anna di Stazzema in Italy it is a fac simile!!!!!!!!

    shit!

  • What I want Lee to make a film about is the hunger crisis in Zimbabwe. Or a documentary on why blacks are the only race not to engineer an automobile. Or how lazy blacks have ruined General Motors and Fannie Mae.

  • you wrong family. A black engineered an automobile that ran off of water but was later shot by a random racist. You know the kind that fled Great Britian to an uncharted land from theyre map slaughtered a couple million people and called the land theres'. "A discovery ". When tell these people facts they react with "small minded guilty ignorance".

  • Thanks for the laugh.

  • The managers and executives than ran GM into the ground are 99% white. Same goes for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

  • That is the same race that built GM into the largest automobile manufacturer in the WORLD.

You act as though the economic crisis is exclusive to GM. EVERY car company is having trouble right now. Even the African* Company.

  • omar benson miller was on 8 mile

  • PurpleHaze234, Don't worry African Americans were a huge part of WWII (and of course other wars) stridetide155 is a jerk

  • excellent movie. Finally a ww2 movie that actually has african americans in it, ive never seen one with them in it.

  • cuz they didnt do anything duh

  • they obviously did, and id like you to go back and time and do better? no? youd be scared shitless so shut up

  • Tuskegee airmen was another ww2 film with african americans in it. Based on a true story. Good flick!

  • dude one of my favorite movies of all time

  • Fantastica !!

  • Awesome script by McBride, and one of Spike Lee's best films ever.

  • Great Epic,Intruiging, movie, best wwII movie ive ever seen!!!!!

  • Spike is a very intelligent man. He used his talent and also used the great italian film making crews and created an unbeleivable movie. Good for you spike.

  • lol damn u guys are all so racist this is based off a true story so im pretty sure its real and i thouhgt it was a great movie

  • and we all know ignorant people leave only ignorant comments...congrads

  • phelius black people have been risking their lives in combat for white people since the Revolutionary War

  • I hate to be the barer of bad news, but black people only join the military when they have no other options to feed themselves. They don't join for any other reason than to help themselves.

  • phelius "Blacks only joined the military to help themselves".

What makes their reasoning for joining any different than any other americans.

They all joined to help themselves as my father said he joined to protect his family from being overtaken by Nazi's.

Since AMERICA had little or no love for a 20 year old black man in hard-time Missisippi ...why would he join other than to help himself and his immediate family.

My question to you: "WHAT ELSE WOULD THEY BE FIGHTING FOR?"

  • Blacks have always separated themselves. This movie is a perfect example. Spike Lee is another perfect example.

Why does Spike Lee push only his own races agenda in a multicultural society? Blacks will never be equal to whites because they are held to a lower standard. Imagine for a moment a white man* who incessantly complains when a black movie is made. His own race would call him to the carpet.

I'm calling Spike Lee to the carpet, Is he an American, or an African?

  • ...he's african american

and white film makers depict white society with their movies all the time
