My family was primarily Ásatrú and as a result, I have always designed appropriate items for those practicing Norse faith. I hate how racists have adopted it as a white supremacy institution: Ásatrú would never support such abuse of others! It is also a source of many a family conflict XD (the remainder is fundamental Christian)
Very nice. May Odin and those watching in Asgard keep you in care. My fiance and I will be getting married this summer and we are having an Asatru wedding. Thank you for sharing. Hails to the Aesir and Vanir, may your days be blessed until Ragnarok.
I am already married but me and my wife are talking about renewing of vows so we can have a real wedding since we were married by the justice of the peace an I am gonna use this as a template if you do not mind.
I have now changed comments to being approved only due to a few racist fools trying to interject their own views on Heathenism, and Asatru. My wife and I are both of European descent and are proud of that fact. We worship the Gods native to our ancestors, and seek a future where all folk are free to do the same. Unlike some of the folks who posted negative comments we've never spent time in the American penal system, and are TRU to the faith of our ancestors, and their beliefs.
If you have posted a positive comment, I thank you. Unfortunately there are fools who seek to slander others or belittle others because they have such a lack of respect for themselves. In my opinion, this is not a Heathen trait. It's a trait born from self loathing and hate that generally comes with the majority of the "Odinist" brand. Your not better because your white, race doesn't make the man character does. And yours is lacking, if you come here to spew hate.
Not the whites, the "wights", which are ghosts of the land, you ignorant anti-white bigot. So what if she said the "Whites" of the land? Our ancestors are White, and our descendants will be, too.
Oh no I was just wondering! I meant no offense. Im sorry if it seemed like it. I didn't mean to come off sounding like a bigot. And I am not an anti-white bigot, I AM white. I was just wondering if I had potentially misheard. I meant NO disrespect. The opposite is actaully true. I think Asatru is a buetiful and facinanting religion and this ceremony is absolutly breathtaking. I feel drawn to it because of my European and Scadanavian roots. Again I meant NO disrespect.
@WesternImperium Thank you, I consider you a friend for correcting the staggering ignorance of this land. Its a beautiful ceremony and I looking for it for one of my own in the future. Takk.
Sacred Queen of Valhala? Really? I'm not aware of this being spoken of anywhere in the lore o.O? I realize she's a chooser of the slain, and don't doubt she would visit, but queen seems like a stretch. She's got her own hall with her own dead who reside within it. Very nice ceremony though :)!
Your an Idiot. She speaks of Frigga not Freyja. If you gonna comment do it right. Frigga is regarded as the Queen of Valhalla, since she is wife of Odin. Frigga is not a chooser of the slain. She is a weaver of Clouds.... People please pay attention before you post. Remember it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Bravo. Good ceremony. I will be having one similar to this in a couple of months. May the Gods and Goddesses of our Ancestors bless you with strong intelligent children. And if your love is true and undying may Frigga Allmother take you into her hall when you die where tru love is never parted.
A cute couple! I have never seen a wedding like this, much less a hand-fasting.

I respect Asatru as I do all religions, but at 1:06 did she say "the whites of the land"?
