Sry I'm behind on this guys, leave it to me to get a cold on X-mas Eve/Day! Great shirt! You shot your eye out! I love the shared geek like quality amongst us that would require the adoption of a Batman and Robin record! The trip, although not sponsored by Chrysler, sounds like a ton of fun. I remember, pre-kids, when Renee and I would take of like that. Good times man! Hope the two of you had a fantastic holiday, great finds, countdown to 2012 baby! Great Carol duet, LMFAO! Love you guys. - Lj
Nice video guys and happy that you are enjoying the new sleeves. I have to give a great shout-out for the wonderful singing you were doing Sam. That was great! Nice trip. Would love to do something like that myself. All the best!
you two are super adorable!!!!... always enjoy your vids. I've been to Buffalo once... on business, right in the middle of the dead cold winter... it was very depressing.
Where you referring to 'A Christmas Story' at the end of the video? The house in the movie is now an actual museum. You can visit where Ralphie and family spent their Christmas. If you were no referring to that movie, forget about what I am writing. By guys,
Mark, I hope I am not insulting you but you looked kind of like Jim Morrison from the movie that he made in 1969 called 'HWY: An American Pastoral'.? It may be the beard and the hair but you do resemble Jim. Wasn't Joey Heatherton a regular on Johnny Carson or the Laugh In show? I did not know she was a singer too. That T Rex did look quite cool in the Blake Sleeve. You got some nice records there.
I hope you both have enjoyed your Christmas day. Talk to you soon
I wonder if the VCLT drove through the same Zeppelin tunnel in Pittsburgh to deliver those two packages to your house? Oh wait a minute, trains to not drive through car tunnels do they? {smile} . I think you guys know the joke I am saying here but if anyone else is reading this comment they are going to think I am nuts. May I say right away that I appreciate and thank you for all of the interesting videos that you posted since I joined the VC. Hi Sam, how are you doing?
Merry Christmas mr. and mrs. glassorchidaftermath! i've loved watching all your videos the past few months. and i have to say i love both your shirts, one fashionable, one spreading the message of potential holiday injury due to Red Ryder misfires. lovely decorations as well.
2. all the tracks were based on public domain items like Chopin's Polonaise Op. 53, the horn theme from Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony and the love theme from Romeo and Juliet, and generic rock riffs. It's all instrumental, with the exception of Robin's Theme, featuring an uncredited vocalist who might be June Tyson.
Some info on the batman record. 1: In 1966, a toy company in Newark, New Jersey released a children's record called Batman and Robin to cash in on the popular Adam West TV series of the same name. The music on the LP was credited to "The Sensational Guitars of Dan and Dale," but in fact the band was one of the greatest uncredited session combos of all time, including the core of Sun Ra's Arkestra and Al Kooper's Blues Project. To keep the music licensing fees to a minimum..
OK, this is hilarious, that 97cent copy of Cricklewood Green I actually held in my hands recently and put it back figuring someone else who wanted it more could grab it... go figure. Great store eh? I was in it this past Wednesday. Next time you guys do a Buffalo trip let me know and Rhonda and I will head down and meet you, we are there every couple of weeks. Merry Christmas.
Haha! I LOVE your T-Shirt! Merry Christmas guys...hope it's a great one! Love that Tom Rush- Elektra...great label but it always amazes me how Elektra rejected Neil Young...crazy! Neil instead, after being on Atlantic with Buffalo Springfield, signed with Reprise, the label he is still on. God I LOVE Pentangle! What a great group! Fantastic video...very entertaining! PS. Thanks for the awesome Christmas Card- be well guys.
Not Santa Claus Conquers the Martians! Now I have that Hooray for Santa Claus song stuck in my head. Hope it's the MST3K version, I couldn't get through the original unriffed version. Enjoyed the Bing/Bowie interlude. "God only know why someone let her make this album," lol. Hope you guys continue having a great Blaking holiday.
