Vanilla and TBC had magic, it started to fade away in Wotlk and now it's completely gone in Cata. Leveling was a big deal back than, you couldn't just fly anywhere you like, yes it was more challenging but it had a "world" feeling, like şt really existed. Now it's like playing on a map editor, I can see "the game" behind it, everything serves a purpose for the customers convenience.
@canerata7 Couldnt agree more TBC and Vanilla did have that "Magic" about it, every level was exciting when you went up, now its not much of a good feeling compared to then.
god I love wow, the old wow really. The new one is fun but the old one just had something. It was a lot harder to level, get money, and stuff but it was memorable

i have play WoW for almost 2 years now. I understand a lot of people miss the old game. But it hasn't changed much sense I only played a year and a few months before Cata came out. I can't agree with you more...I lost interest a bit cause all my friends quit and with raiding and such, but 2 months later i just can't take it anymore theirs so much more i love about it that just keeps me coming back. I remember the good old days playing as a low lvl in Teldrassil and being scared of beasts higher level than me that had skulls for lvls. Wow forever =]

This is breathtaking, Ah I remember back in 2004 going to gamestop and getting this game. The thrill of it all was insane. Sad to say but it was probably one of the happiest times in my life. Amazing a video game can change your life in such a fantastic way.
Even if you think this game's gameplay is subpar, community is annoying-ish, the nostalgia alone from playing this game makes WoW worth it.
Leveling my first toon up to this music....while I was doing it, it didn't seem that fun, but now I would kill to relive that nostalgia of discovering WoW.

The times when u made your first character. Made a name for him, customised his looks and made up an awesome name. The times when everything was a surprise and there were huge adventures waiting for you. You made new 'friends' while u didn't even know em irl. The music was so epic it could only get better and better. The days when u actually did fuck up your social life.. BUT IT WAS FUCKING WORTH IT I MUST SAY.
I will never forget the magic i experienced when I first began playing WoW. I've never felt such awe from a video game before. I don't think that feeling of wonder can be recreated by any other game...it was a once-in-a-lifetime type of experience.
i really miss my noob times. I can still remember my little brother saying: 'WATCH out! there are level 10 monsters!' Im in the cata beta and its REALLY awsome. to level from 80-85. There is a cool story behind it. and a whole underwater world!
@PurpleJam22 I started at the age of 14 too man.. Amazing times. I remember me walking through Wetlands with my NE Hunter. Made chars over and over again 'cause I didn't know what I wanned. In the end I hated Alliance and made an Undead Rogue haha. Played rly hardcore with him for like 2 years.

I played WoW for 2 years, and unfortunately i had to stop because this game takes over your life. WoW is more than a game, its a way of life. I miss it so much ):
I haven't played in almost a year and a half I started in 06, my memory is so good in my mind I can just picture all the roads ,vendors arenas ,quests, drops, animals, music. I love wow so much I hope to play again soon.
I'm still a noob, a Warcrafter of two weeks now, and no game has made me felt so adventurous and excited as WoW since the first time I picked up Pokemon Yellow. The first time I went through the outer ring of Stormwind City I nearly involuntarily pissed myself. It was like a 3 km wide Christmas present. I haven't even discovered 5 countries yet, and I'm not even off the Eastern Kingdoms. This whole world is just so huge and fantastic!
Nostalgia just raped me. I miss being a noob, discovering things for the first time... pity I won't EVER have this feeling again in an MMO as wow was my first time with those sort of mechanics and amazing landscapes, quest lines etc. Its a shame really!

(and by world I mean WoW) I made a new toon recently to see how ezy it was and kid you not it took me no more than 20 min or maybe less to get to lvl 10 and not only killing NPC's but witht he quest EXP. but its all for a reason the game is actually harder on the low lvl ppl that just started playing.

@ashaudi8 lol yup i wouldn't doubt one thing about that. it will be alot harder but also idk ive never really seen ppl that fight in the sky and kill new comers that are on the ground unless they are on a 2 seater mount and the only flying mount i know is that rocket mount.

awesome video. have any of you people looked at the wow cheats pack at warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? its impressive, i recently downloaded it. its got completely every thing inside it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the new arena glitch. i probably should not tell people about it however at the very least this offers you all a reasonable chance to dl it before i own all of you!
they should make a server just for the classic WoW. or a private server should make a server for classics it was amazing i loved WoW it was so awesome back then when i first started and it all spoiled here today. but i still love the game the troll ratings are higher and it's just ashame

This reminds me of first seeing my friend play the game and how amazed I was that something like this existed. I remember my first character, a night elf druid. This brings back fond memories of Teldrassil, herbalism, and alchemy. Once again I have a night elf druid named in his honor to explore the land of his ancestors once again. God, I miss my first year in World of Warcraft.
When I actually felt immensed in the game, and the world as a whole.
When I found it exciting exploring new areas, unlocking new items, new quests.
Now after 6 years, I know about every mechanic of the game.
It seems impossible for me to ever be able to enjoy the game as much as I once did.
I feel like joining an RP realm in a desperate attempt to try and re-immerse myself in the game, but I'm sure it would be futile.

The times when u made your first character. Made a name for him, customised his looks and made up an awesome name. The times when everything was a surprise and there were huge adventures waiting for you. You made new 'friends' while u didn't even know em irl. The music was so epic it could only get better and better. The days when u actually did fuck up your social life.. BUT IT WAS FUCKING WORTH IT I MUST SAY.

I will never forget the magic i experienced when I first began playing WoW. I've never felt such awe from a video game before. I don't think that feeling of wonder can be recreated by any other game...it was a once-in-a-lifetime type of experience.

i really miss my noob times. I can still remember my little brother saying: 'WATCH out! there are level 10 monsters!' Im in the cata beta and its REALLY awsome. to level from 80-85. There is a cool story behind it. and a whole underwater world!

@PurpleJam22 I started at the age of 14 too man.. Amazing times. I remember me walking through Wetlands with my NE Hunter. Made chars over and over again 'cause I didn't know what I wanned. In the end I hated Alliance and made an Undead Rogue haha. Played rly hardcore with him for like 2 years.

I haven't played in almost a year and a half I started in 06, my memory is so good in my mind I can just picture all the roads ,vendors arenas ,quests, drops, animals, music. I love wow so much I hope to play again soon.

I'm still a noob, a Warcrafter of two weeks now, and no game has made me felt so adventurous and excited as WoW since the first time I picked up Pokemon Yellow. The first time I went through the outer ring of Stormwind City I nearly involuntarily pissed myself. It was like a 3 km wide Christmas present. I haven't even discovered 5 countries yet, and I'm not even off the Eastern Kingdoms. This whole world is just so huge and fantastic!

Nostalgia just raped me. I miss being a noob, discovering things for the first time... pity I won't EVER have this feeling again in an MMO as wow was my first time with those sort of mechanics and amazing landscapes, quest lines etc. Its a shame really!

@ConnorGordon95 This may be true to some extent, but I think when you pick up the next gen MMO you'll be just as immeresed as you were the day you brought WoW home and installed it. Not all MMOs can be as epic as WoW, but there will be more.

@ConnorGordon95 i know man. i enjoyed walking around and just finding ironforge and taking the tram and seeing people in 1337 gear in my mind was and i loved it i remember there being skulls everywhere in wetlands the memories are long gone wow is turning 6 years old this november blizzard made an amazing game in november 2004 and it got wrecked by trolls and spam callers who drive blizz crazy and they mess up sometimes well GG all

@ashaudi8 Well its they they might drive blizz. crazy but that wont stop them. Yes the questing is alot ezr than it was with vanilla wow, but since the wolrd is changing so does the game skills. (and by world I mean WoW) I made a new toon recently to see how ezy it was and kid you not it took me no more than 20 min or maybe less to get to lvl 10 and not only killing NPC's but witht he quest EXP. but its all for a reason the game is actually harder on the low lvl ppl that just started playing.

@ashaudi8 lol yup i wouldn't doubt one thing about that. it will be alot harder but also idk ive never really seen ppl that fight in the sky and kill new comers that are on the ground unless they are on a 2 seater mount and the only flying mount i know is that rocket mount.

Oh but wow still puts thats same thrill as it did the first time i played it with thier expansions and events that they have. Its by far the funnest mmo out there.

@ConnorGordon95 Right there with you, when I first started that game I was blown away by the world I was being thrown into, amazing environments, never really knowing where you'll be next, when dungeons were the ultimate challenge and a fantastic experience no matter the level.

@ConnorGordon95Yes, I feel a tightness in my stomach as I read that. Longing to play WoW as a child, beating the campaign in WC3 and wondering, what is WoW? I discovered what it was maybe... 4-5 years later and for the six months of playing, I only got to level 40. I was great.

awesome video. have any of you people looked at the wow cheats pack at warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? its impressive, i recently downloaded it. its got completely every thing inside it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the new arena glitch. i probably should not tell people about it however at the very least this offers you all a reasonable chance to dl it before i own all of you!

Thank you for posting this. I have been playing WoW on and off for a little more than 4 years now. This reminds me of first seeing my friend play the game and how amazed I was that something like this existed. I remember my first character, a night elf druid. This brings back fond memories of Teldrassil, herbalism, and alchemy. Once again I have a night elf druid named in his honor to explore the land of his ancestors once again. Let Menthazi live long in balance with nature. Elune-Adore.
