Interesting. Im open to any theory of reality, it is a broad term for something unknown in nature. But all of this is irrelevant. There can be no such thing as a false or faked reality, because the truth is determined by the observer. Dreams are very intriguing to me, most people deem them as fake, but if your brain is the one who creates them, as it makes up our awake world, how can that be called not real? The only thing any of us can be sure of is our brain is most certainly real.

time is not what you think it is. things happen as the do randomly. in order to reverse time you would have to rewrite the laws of the universe. even then you can not "freeze" something or someone in place to "travel" back in time. you have to reverse the universe as a whole or none at all because you are apart of that universe. there are no split time lines. although there may be other dimensions that are caused by the will to change your mind.

If there is no God then yes, the tree is dependent on us the observer. But what makes more sense? I come home to my house every day after work. It's always there. Does it make more sense to say I create it anew every day or that it has a reality in the mind of God with or without me? since i was a child i was an outcast so all i could do was think and i solved all of the mysteries of the universe except one. What is beyond the stars? is our dimension we live in just a endless sea of stars or do we at some point loop around like a sphere closing off our dimension? time is not what you think it is. things happen as the do randomly. in order to reverse time you would have to rewrite the laws of the universe. even then you can not "freeze" something or someone in place to "travel" back in time. you have to reverse the universe as a whole or none at all because you are apart of that universe. there are no split time lines. although there may be other dimensions that are caused by the will to change your mind.

you can place a microphone and camera in a forest and record the image. once you play back the recording your eye can then decode the image that was recorded by a non living machine so ye it does make a sound try it

So there are mostly also animals in a forest, but the question is: if there would be anybody at all to hear - than the falling tree would produce sound waves, but only if an ear transforms them in sound, you can (strictly) speak of a sound.
But what the whole video has to do with a holographic universe? It's some stupid blabla, and that loud music doesn't make it better.

What if a seismic sensor was there to record it? That's how they detect earthquakes and volcano eruptions at dangerous places and impossible places for humanoids to go, though it is recorded on a nice graph :-) A machine is neither human / humanoid nor animal though it is created by humans.

Indeed it produces DMT while we sleep also people think when we are all born and the moment we die.
Sadly, the more tapwater etc we ingest, the pineal gland calcifies and renders more and more useless. I have a theory about calcification of the pineal gland and the way our imagination fades from childhood to adulthood. But thats another story.

@Anderw12345 I didn't read the comment you are replying to, but the chemical in cough syrup is certainly not DMT as DMT is a controlled substance. The poster may have been referring to Dextromorphan Hydrobromide (HBr). DXM as it is ofttimes referred to is highly abused and may produce effects similar to a mild DMT trip. However, one must make sure the cough syrup they are abusing only contains DXM HBr as its active ingredient, acetaminophen in such doses will cause serious liver damage.

Many who discuss the holographic theory and other related theories on the nature of reality make it seem as if no human is around then matter will cease to exist until attention is brought back to it. This idea doesn't take into account that space is filled with conciousness, watching everything and therefore providing the attention reality requires to remain. The universe is like a body- as above, so below...

If there is no God then yes, the tree is dependent on us the observer. But what makes more sense? I come home to my house every day after work. It's always there. Does it make more sense to say I create it anew every day or that it has a reality in the mind of God with or without me? To my way of thinking you have to jump through a much higher and smaller hoop to say the former.

The question is do we know Who or what god is? Old cultures took objects from real life and called them god such as the sun. do you really believe that such a divine being would limit himself to just the human form alone? if as the bible says we were made in his image, wouldn't it rather be the imaged that he wanted us to have? This is the same as any other holographic theory, I don't see whats so far-fetched about it. Think of it through a different paradigm (i.e look at it this way) Now, this nexus of space and time is the most immediate sector of your universe. The only way you know the tree fell, or Nazi Germany fell, is through its re-action, not the initial action, because you did not exist in that time and place were the action took place, yet you know it for true that it happened. The universe is like this.

And there is a fair amount of 'theoretical' work being done on the holographic model - an aspect of a string theory. Personally I find it plausible and maybe even the most likely explanation of our universe. See "information theory" and read the book "Black Hole War" by L Susskind
It's intriguing to think that while we've chased "matter and energy" for so long, that the fundamental unit of reality may turn out to be neither but "information" instead.
