I just wanted to send another message, the director who arranged this wonderful song was none other than James Ellis of the Indiana Avenue Pentecostal Church of God located in Chicago Illinois also known as 35th street
I think it would have been better if you could have loaded the video instead of filming a TV Screen...Those never turn out right...They Started off Great...I like their Speed...Like an army..lol....go Youth...lol...
I checked Amazon and there is one album available. It was released in 1995, although I believe she died in Sep of 94. The album is currently 24.95 if you act fast. I am seeing the cost of these album rise to over 100.00 for some of them. Good Luck! Oh, the album is titled, "He will bring you out."
Yeah your rite. She passed on back in 1994, the cd was recorded in July of 1994 two months before Mattie Moss Clark passed away. From what I read it was recorded at a "Song Is Born" celebration for Dr. Clark's 25th Anniversary as President of the COGIC Music Department.
Oh my God Dexter Walker has replied to this video, I'm kinda late replyin, but I used to sing in this choir I'm the tenor on the second row next to the sorpranos, and Dexter, if you ever get this message, Let me know how to get into Zion Movement!!!!!
OMG. Wut did I just hear? And I know y'all aint sayin this like the COGIC version? This the COGIC and it topped that twice. PUHLEASE. This wuz bomb diggity. Yea maybe the voices aint the same quality but the COGIC version looks like homework compared to this. I had to give honour where it is due. That was a very GREAT job gettin that arrangement whoever did. I commend em. Fa real. dang.
I get the impression that you have not seen Twinkie's version. It's not that serious...just a matter of opinion. I enjoyed the FAMU and Twinkie Clark version better because I felt the annointing in that piece. I just love to see young people praising the Lord and although I did not point out what I thought to be their weak points, I chose to give them props for covering all of the parts from the original version. God Bless!
Let me rephrase that...I'm aware COGIC performs the original. I'm not impressed with the live performances that are circulating now. I'd rather have the "original" original recording from 1995 with Mattie Moss Clark. The instrumentals are better & it doesn't sound so "unmixed" as the less symphonic versions that keep watering down the "music". The original "musicians" have not been topped by any choir out there yet...FAMU nor even COGIC's own re-productions of their own song.

I don't really like the FAMU or COGIC recordings. I'm looking for the original. Do you know who THAT is?
achris08 5 years ago
The original version is COGIC. Twinkie is a part of COGIC. She redid the song with FAMU.
