maand songs were always very meaningful... if you heard kasariya balam there is a one - sajan aaya e- sakhi or kai manvaar karu, thal bareyo gaj motiya or upar niyan dharu means.

mere sajan aa rahe hai sakhi or unhe kya pash karu...thal ( plate) bhara hua gaj moti ( gaj moti- pearls sub se bade moti hote hai)or uppar apne niyan ( aakian/ eyes) rakh dete hu.

allha jillai bai bikaner royal court ke singer the...yeh maand gaike hai, maand indian semi- classical way of singing hai joke rajasthan ke royal courts (rajgarane ) me gai jate the , allha jillai bai maand gaike ke sub se bade or famous singer hai, agar allha jillai ko rajasthan ke lata mageskar kaha jaye to kaam nahi hoga !!

I m new lover of Maand, listenin this song only recently in voice of Fareed Ayaz (Qawal Bacha Dehli Gharanan) now completely lost myself in this.. GUM ho gaya houn, kho gaya houn kisi injani dunia main.. iss kay sahar say nahi nikal pa raha.. Its almost three days now searchin n listenin different versions/singers. sab say achi baat ya hay ka abb tak koi singer bura nahi laga.

thanxs for yr reply, yeah there is so many version of kasariya balam avlb nodays, also used in bollywood fillms,i heard all of them but no one can touch allha jillai bai's magic, you try to seach & lisen kasariya balam sung by langa and managinar ( sindhi singers of jaisalmer and barmer ) also , hope you like it !!

"helo dete laaj maru, ne jhalo masoo diyo na jaye" A newly married women saying to her husband,who is sitting along with so many peple that Helo dete laaj maru- tum to aawaj lagate/bulate sharam aate hai or Jhalo- Issara ....masoo diyo na jaye...me de nahi sakte .

further she says- bolu to phoochu nahi.....me agar balu bhe to mere aawaj tere tak nahi phochege, or helo dete laaj maru....or joor se aawaj lagane me sharam aate hai, me chate hu ke me tere se kuch dar baat karu....
