  • How its Made should be renamed to "Watch the Robots do stuff", No humans were harmed during the making of this show.

  • for a second I wondered why this video had no sound. then I remembered the last thing I watched was porn

  • @heydud11 True story bro!

  • 3 idiots must have gotten their windshield broken..

  • Stranger: Hey what do you do?

Guy: Sit on a chair and check glass....

  • what's the name of the robotic transfer tool used to pick and place the windshield at 2:33 min on this video?

  • women annoncer=fail. original announcer=win

  • Too bad they didn't show more about the electronic check fixtures used for process control and geometric tolerancing.

  • start from 35th second: before that -- trash.

  • That's why you be like me and go to school to make the robots that take the jobs!

  • DB TK JR JJJJJBB !!!!!!!

  • Dey Tuk Our Jerb!

  • i love this show <3

  • H w I ' M d

  • Very interesting video.

    Also, DERKA DUR DURRR

  • EVERYTHING MOVES!!!!!!! :O

  • Thanks a lot for the post, great description.

  • der der der derrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • THEY TOOK MY JOBBB!!

  • lol they say "It is viewed by a human" like its unusual because robots are doing all the jobs..

  • they took our gerb :)

  • Pity about that shit ........ " Music "

  • 5:13 ohhh stress defects, i thought she said swastikas

  • Robots stole my job

  • @shfbdfi1273 THEY TOOK YURR JOOBBBBBB

  • @LFcool15 TURK A JERRRB!

  • @LFcool15 Theeeeeeeeeeyyyy took errrr jeeeeeeerrb!!!!!

  • @LFcool15 you can work at inspection

  • @shfbdfi1273 lolllllllll

  • @shfbdfi1273 The guy who made those robots stole your job.

  • @shfbdfi1273 That windshield inspector guy probably won't have a job for very much longer. We'll just get cameras to feed the visual information into a computer and the computer can automatically detect any problems with the windshield. Better than a human could do, too.

  • @ninjajesus81 Until windshield replacement and distribution is also replaced by robots, at least one human ultimately inspects every single piece of glass that goes into a vehicle. At least, that's the case with any reputable shop.

  • @shfbdfi1273 I used to wire up the robots that stole your job..... ya win some ya loose some

  • Does anyone know what factory that was? im thinking XYG autoglass

  • @TheFrams can't be xyg because xyg glass has more tinting in it (greener shade)

i want to say PPG (PGW now) or most likely FYG glass.

  • @pwnage78

The video is of PGW's Hawkesbury Ontario Canada plant. That plant is now shut down. More specifically it is Line 1 at that plant.

  • @tgroscoe Yeah, PGW actually gets alot of their glass from China (Xinyi Glass and Fuyao Group) and Mexico, now. Pilkington's bulk producer of glass is in Mexico, sometimes Crinamex, though they do have a Canadian plant. Crinamex also produces some Mopar parts. Carlite (Ford brand) is split between US- and Mexican-made glass.

  • 4:46 I want that job p3q

  • They finally made that episode after I hounded them for a couple of years to make a show on windshields. Hopefully they'll do one on tempered glass and attaching hardware to glass =)

    -Chapin Auto Glass, Arlington, VA

  • I have a question, why do they put the film between 2 glass sheets ? the glass will still have place to fall off right ?

why don't they take 1 glass sheet and put the limination on both sides of it ?? isn't that easier, cheaper and better cause the glass can't fall out ?

  • Because then you might scratch the laminate which is soft.. especially your windscreen wipers.. then you will have scratched windscreen :(

Also if you get damage to the glass, only one layer is damaged (stone chip) and your windscreen will still be water tight..

  • O_O !!

    thanx !! =D

thank you man, i needed to know ! =]

    tke cre

    pce out =D

  • @originaldarrkon cool ty ;p

  • @pashaahsj rocks would tear it up

  • @autoneeds1 oh yes ! ^_^ ;p ty

  • holy cow, that thing cut glass fast.

  • PPG recently changed name to PWG (Pittsburg Glass Works)

  • i agree with wellsy somewhat...and with bureyeanne

automotive glass today is made not made by PPG as removed that arm of the company.

most glass today for cars are manufactured in the usa (i think one comapany or two left asahi flat glass corp and another one),china, germany, mexico, argentina, australia,

    and india.

  • Have you ever heard of Pittsburgh Plate Glass? Known as PPG. They manufacture a lot of plate glass for US cars. There is a video on youtube of the Meadville, Pa. plant.

  • @Bureyeanne I believe it was Pittsburgh Paint & Glass...now it's Pittsburg Glass Works.

  • good to know.
