I'm not sure it's as *creepy* as all that; just *surreal*. Many think the lyric says "Throw the crypt door wide", but I believe the lyric is "crib door", and I'm singing that. Still---the burning playhouse, the prosthetic forehead---So OK, you're right. It is creepy. And also awesome. TMBG rule the world.
