Jesus must be everything to us. More than anything we could ever have on this earth. Time is short and He is coming back soon. I want Jesus to find me living like Him. I love the words to this song; it is a message that needs to be heard in many "churches" in this country. So-called Christians are the biggest reason for growth of other religions and atheism; if we were to read and take seriously the book of Acts (and the rest of the Bible for that matter) then we'd see things change. He cried out because God looked away from Him. God had never done that before to Jesus. WHy? Because God can't look at sin and at that exact moment Jesus bore all the sin of the world on Him.

If then you want to be like Jesus, then take up your cross and follow Him, ask Him for help in doing so. Love others as He has loved you. Look for his coming, for He is coming back. I love the words to this song; it is a message that needs to be heard in many "churches" in this country. So-called Christians are the biggest reason for growth of other religions and atheism; if we were to read and take seriously the book of Acts (and the rest of the Bible for that matter) then we'd see things change. God is sovereign, but He uses means. We need our butts kicked in the american "church!" And I think Todd gets that.

It doesn't matter about facts, who's right or who's wrong. The fact is most of us wouldn't even recognize Jesus... don't criticize other's... criticize yourself, i'm so sick of all the fake humility, pride, greed ... Most churches just play games while the world gets worse... instead of laundering all the money why not give it to African kids. People can talk shit all they like, it doesn't change anything.

AlexanderSch has a very valid point that i dont agree with, but I respect. He said that Jesus was drunk or stoned when He claims that He is the Son of God. This is true in the fact that Jesus is either really who He says He is, or is a complete raving lunatic. There is no middle ground. Jesus wasn't just a "nice guy" who had "good morals".

On fire for Him or frozen and don't do anything for His name.So if you where lukewarm He'd spew you from His mouth.This is like your favorite food not being hot but not cold either .Very nasty huh? Philos2006- The answer is not an easy one, seeing as how we accept Jesus and God as One in the same. We Jesus BECAME & BORE sin, God has no part with sin, "It pleased the Father to crush Him." Thus He and the Father were separated. We know and believe our sin separates us, yet on the day of Judgement, many will cry and weep when they are "actually" separated from God. Not b/c God is not in Hell, but because God will be there. Thus the weeping & gnashing of teeth.

Look at our world today; Don't you see many brainwashed people who are willing to give up their lives for religion. Religion is man-made. Man existed before any religion did. God doesn't charge one cent to believe in him. God is the great spirit and we all have a piece of that spirit in us. The spirit leaves us when we die. What happens after death..who really knows. Guess we will all find that out when we die. What should be important is how we live on this earth.

Obviously you have not understood the truth yet. Jesus exposed the truth about the religious leaders that were using God's name for profit and power. They did not like that and had him punished for interfering with their profits and power. He was brutally beaten within an inch of his life and then had him crucified. They thought that would be a lesson to all that oppose the religious leaders.

Now, he was just a human being just like you or me.He worked for a living. He was a carpenter. One day, he had his calling from God to preach the truth and that is what he did. However in doing so it just pissed the religious leaders off. Now, Jesus clearly understood that God is Love, Peace and Truth and he felt that God had forsaken him when he was dying on that cross. How do you know what Jesus knew? What is the "truth"? How many years passed after his death that they wrote the scripture? Now when you have found the answers to that...You would have found the truth.

Jesus's account was one of the fastest to be written... for caesar it took about 500 years after he died, for some of the great philosophers it took hundreds of years for Jesus it took only 25 years after his ressurection. Time is one of the most important factors for something to be written because with more time the truth in the stories becomes less

Actually, the old testament was written before Jesus' birth. The new testament was written afterward, a record of His teachings, death, and resurrection. Revelations tells of what will happen during the second coming, which God allowed John to witness.

Jesus knew that He was going to die for us. He knew that. But He prayed in the garden to God and said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt." He wanted what The Father's Will was. Does it not even remind us of our own utterances as we pray, hoping against hope? He prayed that if there was another way around it, it would be, but He still accepted His Father's Will.
