  • why are there tail hooks?

  • What software did u use to record the playback. I m not talking about fsrecorder. Awesome video and music by the way.

  • @fahadurrehman96

Thanks. I used Fraps to record the video. Take care.

  • And no there is 8 RED ARROW PILOTS one has died agian after the aircraft ejected him on the ground

  • hey nice vido, and where i can find this plane?

  • @jonny99981 There are 9 red arrows in the team and since the crash 8 are left

  • i lod the red arrows and u guys are so good keep it up

  • Music name please!

  • @TheJachu20

Hey there... I wrote and recorded this music myself... sorry, but it really doesn't have a significant name. Take care - Morgan

  • @penneyfour No problem.Realy great job:)

  • Chłopaki jak do was dołączyć?

  • And now there are only 9 red arrows one crashed today in dorest

  • @jonny99981

Yes, it is very sad. I am not sure if the root cause is yet known. Of course low altitude high speed flight significantly increases risk of fatalities due to the limited response time available to countermeasure such events as birdstrike, engine flameout, pilot blackout, and simple pilot altitude miscalculation (when executing a maneuver). Many great pilots have been lost in this way. Sad sad sad.

  • @penneyfour

My personal opinion is a bird strike R.I.P Flight lieutenant Jon Egging

  • @jonny99981 aren't they built to withstand that?

  • @penneyfour My main guess is bird strike!

  • @jonny99981 :(

  • were did you get them planes?

  • Respect your hard work, is this online or with recorder?

  • Thinking of doing this for fun on a server, anyone interested pm me :P

  • @1Filmproducer yes i would love to beoz i have this plane and coulored smoke

    blue white red

  • @ADAM123312 nice, will arrange somthing, currently working with the actual virtual red arrows, but yeah we could do it somtime :)

  • Where did you get the hawk with the red arrows paint?

  • Amazing vid M8!!! Plz make more!!!

  • water is amazing

  • @124simran

I use FSRecorder. It is software that allows the sim pilot to record his/her flight session, playback, and then record a second, third, or fourth flight alongside prerecorded flights. If done correctly (at hight frame rates), you can achieve smooth formation flight. It works best in FS9 (Flight Simulator 2004), but also can be used in FSX. Hope this helps. - Morgan

  • man u are the best!!! check my original music channel called " bbuteo " our newest song " late as hell " you do compose music too right?? really nice brother

  • @guitargamery

Thanks... but I try to remain humble. Yes, I did check out your music channel. I love it. You guys are very inspirational to me (and others). I wish I had more courage (like you) to create and publish music. I do compose music (soundtracks) for all of my videos, but I am not talented to play instruments like you guys. I will continue to try to learn to play well like you. Let's stay in contact.. ok.

  • Keep up the good work! the graphics are amazing! It seems real! Its the best and realistic reds video I've ever seen! By the way... can you please tell me where you get the model of the plane? Once again...WELL DONE!!!!!

    Matthew

  • nice flying but the red arrows hawk aircraft dont have electronic huds if u want im also part of a red arrows fsx team were just called fsx red arrows check it out!

  • is Culdrose where they have a musium aswell down douth of england?

  • omg nice formatian

    good music

    good scenery

    and now the quests:

    1. What flight simulator you use???

    2.How are you settings

    3. Is this vid made with windows movie maker???

    Thanks t0m0wnz

  • how did you get the red arrow formation

  • Amazing! Great job!

  • Nice video. Well put together. Good job.

  • @RAFtyphoonsftw

    Thanks a lot. Take care

  • @penneyfour god i wish FSX looked that good and smooth on my computer.

What are your specs? and what cloud theme are you running for REX?

  • @Scoggs117

Hi there... I am currently using a Intel QX6700 Quad core, Nvidia 680i motherboard, 2.75 GB of DDR2 800Mhz ram, one Nvidia 8800GTX, and a 10,000 rpm Velociraptor hard drive.

This is not REX. This is default cloud textures and the sceneries are all TileProxy.

Hope this helps... Take care... - Morgan

  • AMAZING! you and your partners are the best virtual pilots ever!

  • Where did you get the formation of 7 aircraft

  • Simply Stunning FSX video. Would love to get some of the effects & camera positions that you achieved there. Bravo.

  • absoloutley amazing :)

  • Thank you Penney, love it so amazin thats called free yourself i felt like am flying thank again for the music.

  • Is this FS Recorder?

  • nice flying and great vid. Is this plane in the acceleration pack? Because i am thinking of getting it.

  • @fsxairshows

Thanks for the positive feedback. The Acceleration pack is required in order to use the cockpit instrumentation of the aircraft shown in this video, but the aircraft itself is a freeware download. Once you have installed FSX Acceleration, Google search for Dino Cattaneo T-45 Goshawk. Unfortunately I do not know of a Red Arrows repaint of Dino's T-45, so this video features a FS2004 freeware Hawk for all external aircraft views. Basically I used two aircraft to make this vid.

  • really nice flying. purely Amazing!

  • Thanks a lot.

  • very nice video..

was the formation work done with FS REcorder? .. Beautiful graphics card ..

  • @The12rspc

It is a T-45 Goshawk painted to look like the British Aerospace "Hawk".

  • fascinating!!!

  • @matthiashaenni

    Thanks!

  • nice vid

  • it is Dino Cattaneo t-45 right? from where I can take this repaint?

  • @Hanimichal

You are correct... most of the cockpit views are using Dino Cattaneo's T-45. The exterior views are using a T-45 ported from FS9. This helped with the frame rates. I have been looking for a Red Arrows repaint for Dino Cattaneo's T-45, but have not been able to find one. Let me know if you find a posting somewhere. Thanks!

  • Wow This is awesome.....

  • @lefouthanix

    Thanks

  • Very good

  • great vid!

however, why are you using T-45 Goshawks?

I can tell from 1.12 where the aircraft you are looking at has a tailhook, and at 2.10 where you can see it has 2 front wheels instead of 1 :)

  • @250350murph

Hi there. Very observant of you! Actually the simple answer is that since I have an interest in so many different aircraft, that I use freeware almost exclusively, and the T-45 repaint (to look like the Hawk) was available. Since this vid was published to YouTube others have informed me of decent payware Hawk, but I do not fly the Hawk that much to make the investment. Thanks for the comment.

  • Argh man this is such a great video.

I was wondering if the music is available for download anywhere?

  • @UncappingBadger

Thanks for the positive feedback. As for the soundtrack, I do not have it available on-line at the moment; however, I will see if I can find the master track and burn off a high quality .mp3 and upload it to my web server and send you a link for download, alright?

  • @penneyfour

AWSOME. Keep up the great videos and your musical talent is very promising should take that on aswell :)

  • very good 5/5

  • the nicest vid ever just like that vid USAF TEST PILOT SCHOOL

  • 1. whats the name of that music ???

    2.how you get that scencery

    3. how you get that aircrafts

    4. how you get that watereffect

    5. with what you make that vid ???

  • how you get that watereffect?????

  • fsx is cpu-based,that s why you have so good fps.i dave dual 9600gt and i t 's the same with when i had a single 8600gt

  • HAHA this is CLEARLY real life (!) (Sarcasm)

    Excellent video matey!

  • @WEESTRAWZ -

    Thanks

  • G.R.E.A.T. J.O.B. !!!! Phil (French FSX pilot)

  • This is by far the most beautiful video of fsx online. 5 stars. Give the man his props!

  • is that the acceleration goshawk & if it is where did you get the red arrows texture 4 it ,...

  • fsx?

  • Yes sir, this is FSX

  • RESPECT!!!

  • what do you mean when you say that the tight formation was flown by QX6700?

  • Good eye. QX6700 is my quad core Intel processor. I am trying to be up front with viewers that I did not really fly each individual aircraft in the tight formation scene starting from 2:35. There are some flight sim gurus out there that really can manage this kind of tight formation flying, but not me, not in FSX. I really respect those with the skills. Anyway, I used some special techniques / functions available with FSRecorder software to create the tight formation effect.

  • I dont get what u mean? so you didnt do any of this? Can u explain for those of us who are a bit slow :P

  • I did not fly each individual aircraft in the tight formation scene from 2:35. I used my computer, QX6700 to run a tiny program to create the illusion of aircraft being flown in super tight formation.

As for the rest of the video, I created each scene, flew the aircraft, set the camera shots, recorded the video, composed the musical score, edited, and mixed the musical score, and edited the video to the musical score... but to be fair, my computer QX6700 really did all the hard work.

  • it doesnt have a HUD because it would blur the aerobatic skill

  • where did you get the hawk from?

  • just look it up!!

  • Normally make aerobatics on Battlefield 2. Now i screw battlefield 2 and buying FSX after i seen this! Great guys!

  • @RobinMoviesOffical bf2 there is nothing to do with fly at all :P

  • WOW..Great Video guys....have you got a website?

  • The type of Hawk that the red arrows fly doesn't have HUD.

  • Excellent video as always, amazingly smoooth!

  • Great Video man should make a Snowbirds video that would be awesome

  • Pennyfour, first of all I want to say I love your videos. Tileproxy and FSX has NEVER looked so great and smooth, and the music you combine with the videos fits perfectly!

Can you please tell me what your LOD_RADIUS and level_mappings are set to? I have tileproxy going smooth @ 170 kts, but never as crisp and smooth at the speeds you fly at!

  • Thanks a lot for the positive feedback. As far as TileProxy settings. I honestly do not use anything special. Of course, when I make vids I tend to fly over the same area a lot, so the tiles are already loaded in, or are on disc. Also, I use a 10,000 RPM drive for TileProxy, which makes a difference.

    Take care

  • hey whos flying ?

  • where did you get that bae hawk and how did you get tailhook on?

  • Its the Goshawk, the american version of the BAe hawk, its used for the US Carrier training, hence the hook.

  • paywere?

  • i dont think it is, but i could be wrong.

By far, the best hawk you can get is Skysim's but its payware.

  • yea i got it but its not good you can get a freeware wcht is waay better

  • Damn Penneyfour, you hands down have the best FSX video's on the web, another superb effort. Talent like yours however deserves the skysim hawk, so get it! ;) Iv never flown FSX online but iv been practising my formation flying with fsrecorder, maybe one day il join up and have a go?

All the best, keep these amazing video's coming... im off to get tileproxy i think :)

  • Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I should get the Skysim Hawk... How is it with the frame rates? My computer is pretty maxed out.

  • I think your system will handle it just fine, i know your very clever at editing etc but your system must be pretty good to create these superb video's. While on the subject of Hawks..... what does the mach loop look like with Tile proxy? a good hawk and a realistic Mach loop will surely be simulation heaven ;)

    All the best.

  • wow...well done guys

  • Thanks.

  • yes it did thanks very much if you got msn can you send me message back?

  • whats your graph card? and your processer

  • up in the info area it says:

    QX6700

    8800GTX

That should answer your question :)

  • what is your graphics card?

    and btw awsome vid

  • Brilliant! Not surprised it took a week.

Pleasure to watch and the music is excellent too. Better than 5/5...

  • You are an expert! another great video.

  • Very nice Morgan! Your formation skills are spot on! Nice TP action too! 5*****

  • Thanks. When are you flying next? I could be available this Sunday.

  • WOW!!!!!!

  • Brilliant video.

  • Thanks.

  • Amazing video man, very nice job as usual, you should make more of these!!!

  • Thanks. Formation flying is great fun!

  • Awesome! Did you use the Skysim Hawk T1? Or is this another awesome freeware you found somewhere?

And that smoke effect, is that standard or custom? =P

  • To be honest, all external views of aircraft are the FS9 freeware T-45 Goshawk with the Hawk T1 repaint (used in FSX). I did not get good performance from the freeware Hawk T1 that I found online. All cockpit shots were actually taken from inside the FSX T-45 Goshawk by Dino Cattaneo... I would love to find a native Hawk T1 for FSX.

  • The smoke effect is standard I think... I did quite a bit of tweaking (as usual), but I do not recall changing any of the .fx files.

  • Great vid and Nice to see a familiar place I live not far from there

  • Lucky man. I visited that area back in the late '80s. It is gorgeous. My family is originally from Sheerness, Kent. Take care.

  • fantastic! one of your best vid's i think must of tuck a long time make @:-D

  • Setting up the shots and editing took most of the time... about one week. My computer is very glitchy, so some of the best scenes had to be deleted due to framerate issues and glitches... I am wanting a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM soon. That should smooth things out.

  • Looks Superb, can't wait to see the performance you were training for!

  • That's some awesome piloting skills! Awesome video too!

  • Thanks... but I can't take all the credit. The tight formations were flown by my QX6700 (CPU), not me. All the rest of it was me though. Anyway, thanks.

  • Wow, your processor is an awesome pilot xD. How did you make your proc fly those formations? :O

  • 1st

    Great Video

    5*****

  • Thanks. This one was fairly complex, but was fun to make all the same.
