  • 130 Db seems way too loud to not use hearing protection. Am I missing something?

  • @franyalewinski Hearing safe is 140db and below.

  • Yeah i'd like to see a osprey for my 105mm howitzer. thanks!

    lol

  • dude the octane 9! do a video on one plz!

  • @cyano0126 We are working on it. The Octane 9 video will be over on the SWR YouTube channel when we have it finished.

  • @Silencerco i just bought it today!

  • @cyano0126 That's awesome! You will love it :)

  • Call me crazy, but why do dont you guys shoot subsonic rounds. Im only intrested in how its going to sound when i shoot it. I do agree its nice to know what my standard target rounds will sound like but i like to see how quiet you can get it. Please pop off some quiet "cycle-able" rounds

  • Nice work! Really excellent!

  • @ScansRevelator Glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching.

  • Pappy rules.

  • @kneedeepinzombieshit He does indeed :)

  • you are a soldier, till yet only used silencers in computer games.. you want to shoot down a patrol - he is down but the other patrol turns around and shoots you.

    --> CoD makes stupit ;)

  • i always had a question that ive wanted to ask somebody thats skilled in this field:

in movies, why do the suppressors cause the guns to make some weird noise kind of like a "PEW!" "PEW!" its in films like leon, ghost dog, tears of the sun, clear and present danger & patriot games. do you know if there are any suppressors that make that noise?

  • @THEEConnorLange That is all fake. I don't know what that sound is that they use, but it is not a suppressor :).

  • @Silencerco ya. alot of times i noticed, they use airsoft guns to dub over machine pistols! but i watched a video where they were firing a colt carbine full auto and from the front it sounded like an smg but then they did a third person and it sounded just like the guns from Heat.

  • Never mind guess I should see what other videos you have posted because I just watched your wet dry video thanks sorry for the stupid comment lol

  • @adamryanclark It is not a stupid question! We are here to try and educate people about suppressors. We are more then happy to answer any questions you might have.

  • What are you meaning when you say wet or dry are you putting some type of lubricant in the suppressor or water I'm new to the suppressor game just ordered my first one now just waiting the 3-5 month waiting period so I'm doing some research.

  • next time use sb193 ammo :)

  • Can you do a video with a Walther P99 in 9mm?

  • @theIRONchurch I will put it on my list :)! It may be a while but I will make a note of it. Thanks for watching!

  • is the five seven a 9mm?

  • @Nuukiboy No, it a 5.7x28, basicaly a mini 5.56 round

  • The silencer is still loud? Weird.

  • I am in TN, Davidson County, show me how do I get the 5 seven with that sparrow.

  • We are in R&D right now for that product. We are hoping to have it out by October.

  • Do you have a product that could work for 5.56 rifle?

  • I can't wait for the ATF to finish my paperwork, but I still wish you guys could do a dB test with 5.7x28mm subsonic ammo

  • wow, an entire 30db difference... amazing! Falls short of damaging your hearing, not bad.... wait.... no it doesn;t

  • @hipointfan1 hey way to show how little you know about firearms. you're dumb.

  • @hipointfan1 You do know that the OSHA standards for non-prolonged exposure is 140db, right? Oh...wait...no you didn't.

  • wow, an entire 30db difference... amazing! Falls short of damaging your hearing, not bad.

  • Thank you!

Dandy presentation! All the info one could want, innovative, professionally presented. I got more info in less time than the 50 I watched prior combined.

Maybe try the P-90? That would complete testing of the ultimate personal defense system a citizen could own.

    Count me a subscriber.

  • Could you do a demonstration of a short barrel PS-90 with subsonic rounds. I am very interested in getting this CAN for my Ruger .22/45 and my PS-90

  • How about making a 300BLK? You guys seriously need to expand into the rifle market.

  • @Ohmslaw1 SilencerCo has long since hinted that they are working on rifle cans. Naturally, I have long since been watching very, very eagerly for updates ; )

Have you seen their vid running an Osprey on a 300 BLK? Hard to imagine getting better performance than that. If you wanted something full-auto safe or for super-sonic loads that's different, I suppose. Still, I have faith they will bring something to market soon.

  • @Ohmslaw1 We are in R&D for it right now :)

  • want to see rifle cans! I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the 5.7 suppression. From a 22lr can I suppose you can expect miracles. Thanks for the vid guys!

  • I would also like to see a torture test down with the sparrow. Maybe a GSG-5 with a 110 rd drum used has a host weapon would be awesome.

  • I would like to see a .40 S&W shot through a .45 osprey

  • What do I want to see, YOUR RIFLE CANS !

  • not bad at all for supersonic ie. 1700ft/s ammo!!! wow

  • i was expecting more of a drop in the db's. school me bit on how -10dbs is really silencing it. great vid.

  • @djgrooveline

    Unsupressed is 161.96

    Dry Suppressed is 130.67

    Wet Suppressed 127.67

I don't see where you are figuring 10 db.

Those first couple of shots wet are sweet!!

  • @KillerBeeKiller 127 db is pretty loud though...

  • db are measured on a log. it is not a linear relationship so 1db difference can be a significant improvement when you are talking about high numbers. the average human perceives sound at 0 db and pain is achieved at 140 db. What happens when you halve the sound power? The log of 2 is 0.3 so the log of 1/2 is -0.3 So if you halve the power, you reduce the power and the sound level by 3 dB. Halve it again (down to 1/4 of the original power) and you reduce the level by another 3 dB. did it help?

  • @djgrooveline in other words -10db is a little over 1/8th the original power

  • Great job guys. I would like to see 380acp through the 9mm Ospry.

  • Cool beans!
