France - 10.5%; U.S.- 15.3%

Life expectancy can attributable to many different factors such as diet, lifestyle, social attitudes to health etc You will note that Americans have a bad reputation on these counts and they may be significant contributory factors.

I would be more sensible to your arguments if it was just France or any other single country. But America is worse in life expectancy (and infant mortality) when compared to most other developed countries. These countries vary wildly in diet and lifestyles. They have one thing in common: universal health care.

Dilute the facts with misleading claims how France has twice the tax rate while OMITTING the fact that their HEALTHCARE is far cheaper (not all French taxes go to healthcare) just like any other developed nation. Almost ALL developed nations have a longer life expectancy than the USA and almost all have a healthcare system that outscores the USA. The Canadian system isn't nearly the best.
