I don't think the plane was overloaded however I would agree it was heavy. it appears that the pilot put the aircraft into a power on stall where he should have kept the angle of attack ( the pitch) down to let the c-182 build up airspeed. I would say the cause is the pilot tried to climb to much and stalled the wings and could not recover in time. AIRSPEED IS YOUR FRIEND!!!!
The plane isn't overloaded. The problem is that the load center is too far back, causing the plane to have a non recoverable nose up attitude which causes a stall.
At the moment the plane is taking off, you can see that the cessna deviates from the runway to the right. Perhaps the cause of the accident was caused for the right passenger unconsciously pushing the rudder pedals. This can explain why the pilot instructs the passenger not to do so at the begining. This has happened before in other accidents.

When the plane is taxing, you can see that the plane is carrying the pilot, the mother, the boy and the oxygen. That weight is within the useful load certification for the cessna 182, which is between 1100 to 1300 lbs.

always remove right-hand controls when having pax there. Looks like the pilot tried to correct it but too late unfortunately. If it were overloaded it wouldn't have unstick the runway.

Overloaded aircraft can still take off in ground-effect, however once above ground-effect altitude, the aircraft will most likely stall.
