  • That is how u hit

  • it was a clean hit i think the only reason there was discussion about the hit being legal is because stajan was skating low like any other player would and boychuck was taller and standing more upright

  • Manchuk

  • @KittyKranker On most hits you'd be right, but I'm not sure if this is one of those. Also, I think you need to go further back then ten years.

  • 1:35 "fuck you" -chara

  • I hate Boston but that was a clean solid hit!

  • @str8rippon Tho not all that much different from Rome's hit on Horton, is it? The puck had just left Stajan's stick by about 1/4 of a second .. with Horton, the hit came about .5 of a second after he released the puck. Rome got a 4 game suspension during the Stanley Cup Finals .... league hypocrisy once again. Boston can do no wrong, whether its Chara driving a guy into a stantion or Boychuk head-hunting.

  • it's different because it was straight on, it was not as late as the Horton hit, he didn't lead with his shoulder and Boychuk actually played the puck (he deflected it) before he threw the hit.

  • @KittyKranker the difference is today players hit in an attempt to injure. Originally, hitting was just a way of getting the puck off of a guy. If Boychuk wanted to do that, he would have needed to skate that fast and slam his shoulder / elbow into his face. Not saying I think it was a "dirty" hit according to the rules (that's debatable) but you have to be ready to answer the bell and fight if you try to injure other players, which was clearly the intention.

  • THEY COULD FEEL THAT HIT FROM TORONTO!!

  • That dude prolly feels stupid

  • Dude, how's your face

  • Stajan got hammered by staal couple weeks ago

  • I'm glad stajan got destroyed, but these bruins commentators are the biggest homers in the NHL - "acting courageous in the sight of the [refs]." And you're acting courageous 100 feet above ice-level in your little commentator booth.

  • @pajinski1 Well there's a reason that it's only broadcasted in New England. It is called New England Sports Network.

  • I love how Komibitch is paid so much to suck and attempt to fight guys that will beat the crap out of him...

  • @KittyKranker A fucking MEN

  • No one else saw the elbow @ 1:46 ? hmmm...

  • @Barbeefa ummm nope just a clean hit that destroys stajan nice try though

  • @acaprenicus Thanks.

  • not the first time stajans been caught with his head down....

  • komisarek is such a clown trying to screw with chara...he would have died

  • komisarek would have got destroyed in a fight vs chara lol

  • boychuks a fucking beast. so old school. so tough. get fucked buffalo!

  • @msmaximus k i cant put links just put in my username and it will pop up

  • @msmaximus i got the video up from tonights hit check it out!

  • komisarek= pussssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • @KittyKranker

Not really, it's just the way the game is. As we all you ten years ago you played NHL hockey right? They get paid millions, they know what they are doing.

  • @KittyKranker

because you don't want your team's moral down and everyone rooting against you or for the other team you want to take the guy's spot light of fame and moral uplift out of play and show that your team doesn't get pushed around.

  • Did somebody steal Kaberles Chin...it looks like he was born without one.

  • haha, Chara the big wuss!!!

  • 1:27...Chara could have broke the guy's leg..Not Cool.

  • Only thing better than that hit is Chara manhandling Komisarek right after.

  • i feel sad for anyone who argues this isn't a clean hit...aka, biased leaf fans. take off your glasses, stajan got lined up, and hammered...clean.

  • I think most people enjoy watching leafs players getting destroyed. Why? Because the fans and players are such big mouths. Kind of like the big mouth at the office or school. Everybody wants to see them fail.

  • Damn it feels good to be hated

  • Boychuk can't control that he's 6'5 or 6'4 or whatever he is.....clean hit

  • doesnt get much cleaner.... Good Hit...

Stajan Sucks!! Get ur head up......BOOM

  • BOOM!!!

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    looks good on him!!!

  • you guys are a bunch of sallies! it was a clean hit to an idiot skating through the middle with his head down. it isnt boychuks fault that stajan was leaned over. if stajan just got up like a man you would all agree! the defensman passed it to stajans back and he had to turn to recieve it! so to all of u newbs that don't play hockey you can lick my left!!!!

  • was it a clean hit? YES

    was there an elbow? YEs

  • what elbow and if there was a elbow it wasn't a clean hit

  • I hate both teams but the rules should not allow these hits even if they are said to be "clean".

  • KEEP YOUR HEAD UP YOUNGSTER!!!

  • suicide pass

  • clean hit get over it and cry more plz

  • Fuck you mr.Duddle the leafs are better than the Bruins. The bruins can only play dirty. Komisarek did the right thing by trying to kick that mother fucking bitch chara's ass.

  • LOL, nice. What an idiot. Chara would have killed Komisarek.

  • Hahahahahahahahhah. The leaves SUCK. I'm not saying the bruins are much better but the leaves are awful. And not to mention how horribly chara would fuck komisarek up.

  • It's a cheap hit. Plain and simple. He was head hunting and clearly left his feet.

  • Left his feet? Not even close. Seriously, grab a clue, it was a great open ice hit.

  • @dc013

We actually say "Get a clue." in the States. And you are entitled to your opinion, however; I feel that if you watch closely enough, you'll see he leaves his feet at the point of impact.

  • Fair enough, I'm Canadian, and it can be said either way, and obviously you understood.

His left foot is slightly off the ice (if at all), but his right foot is on the ground until impact. Only after impact do his feet come up, and that's because of the momentum and the fact that Stajan is so low. It's a clean hit, and that's all there is to it. Stajan should have his head up.

  • @dc013 I agree Stajan's got to be more aware, although, that was a "buddy" pass. But I feel like if your momentum carries you off the ice that much after contact, that's only physically possible if you are leaping at the point of contact. That's been my experience when I used to play. But I also realize that the rules, as of now, would call that a borderline hit. But i feel like that hit could be just as effective but less dangerous.

  • He exploded into the hit for sure, but only after contact. His momentum carried him that far off the ice, but it wasn't before he made contact.

  • @dc013 Yeah, I guess I personally feel that those hits are just as dangerous. But I know that my opinion is not the popular one among most other fans.

  • Leafs fuckin suck, BUT KOMI SUCKS WAY MORE THAN THE WHOLE LEAFS NATION! He's so fuckin gay.

  • In typical fashion, Komiserek was the third man in on a fight here, hopping on top of two players who were already in a scuffle with one another. Chara did the right thing by pulling that little bitch off of the pile.

  • Of course there is an intention to hurt someone. That's the whole point of checking in the NHL. Did he try to end his career? No. This was a perfectly clean hit and I'm sure that will be proven once it's reviewed more. This is what happens when you keep your head down.

  • GO LEAFS GO

  • GO LEAFS GO

  • GO LEAFS GO

  • I WATCHED THT GAME UNBELIVALBE

  • thisguy7788 you don't have a clue. Is it clean to hit someone with your shoulder...sure it is, but it's not to hit someone in the head...if what you say is right then is it clean to "check" someone from behind at the boards just because it is a check? Don't think so. Did he intend to hit Stajan in the head...no of course not, but he did, so whether he had his head down or not is irrelevant, fact remains he hit him in the head period. If a guy is gonna lay a guy out he has to be aware of the head

  • hahaha I have no clue? you are a joke! first off I never said that checking from behind was even close to a clean hit. Second off if you've played the game, anything competitive, you'd realize it's up to Stajan to protect himself by keeping his head up and not lean over. So let me ask you what was Boychuk supposed to do when he saw Stajan leaning over with his head down? was he supposed to let him just skate by him because Stajan was leaning forward with his head? stop trying to pussify hockey!!

  • HIT OF THE YEAR SO FAR!!!

  • he should get suspended for one game dirty hit

  • Of course jack edwards is bias he is the commentator for the bruins and works for the new england sports netowrk which is owned by the red sox and get this the bruins! Jack Edwards is the man

  • Boom goes the dynamite!

  • This video is from NESN New England Sports Network. So yeah the announcers will favor the Bruins. As any announcers will tend to be bias to the team that they are following

  • SUSPEND this ass...and jack edwards go fuck yourself...u r the most bias announcer ive ever heard

  • fuck i hate that fuck. he knows shit and takes it in the ass

  • lol suspend him for what? a nice clean open ice hit, "HEY STAJAN KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!!" and if he's going to be pissed at anyone, be pissed at Kaberle for that beautiful suicide pass!! learn the game or shut your mouth, THIS IS NOT FIGURE SKATING!!!

  • Stajan got a huge cut from his visor - do you think he could have gotten a cut from his visor if it wasn't a headshot? And if you pause at 1:09 you can clearly see him leaving his feet.. It's just a shame Orr wasn't on the ice to mug him.

  • well first off pause the video at 1:44 and you can clearly see Boychuks shoulder making contact with stajans head, and last time I checked it was still clean to hit someone with your shoulder! Second off he doesn"t leave his feet until he hits Stajan and flies over top of him, again that is clean!! So stop being a wimp and trying to pussify hockey, if you don't like body contact, watch figure skating or ringette!!

  • idiot you even admit he made contact with his head but your spin is he hit him with his shoulder so it is ok? Give your head a shake

  • lol you find in the rule book where a player, can not hit a player with the puck, with his shoulder and then we'll talk about this!! just because you don't know the game doesn't mean you can come on here and chirp. Maybe kaberle shouldn't have give him a suicide pass and maybe he should keep his head up!!

  • you still don't get it. Checking, yep legal, checking a guy with the puck, yep legal also. Hitting a guy in the head intentionally or not intentionally, not legal. Doesn't matter if you hit the guy with your shoulder or dick , if it is in the head illegal. You're too stupid to realize how stupid you really are.

  • lol ok pal just start watching figure skating and definitely avoid games like rugby and football because I'd hate to see you crying again when you see a big CLEAN hit! Always has been, always will be. For the obvious reason THERE WAS NO INTENT. and obviously the NHL didn't see a problem with it because he was not suspended so i can see very clearly who the stupid one is, and that's definitely you! If you don't like hitting watch girls hockey, or better yet, don't watch at all you big baby!!

  • wow I hate this announcer

  • great hit, would rather had it earlier and had the bruins won though

  • Stajan's head down, yes...clean hit, no way. Was clearly a head shot, check the camera angle out from the end boards, he clearly got an elbow and or forearm in the chops. The guy left his feet which is usually whistled for charging. Anyone that sees that as a clean hit doesn't have a clue what they are talking about, and we can start on that one with the american announcers.

  • ya ok there pal, YOU ARE A JOKE, keep trying to pussify hockey and it's going to turn into a European game

  • darklord657 come on man you really think that pussy Komisarek would have done something to Chara ??? I mean he cant even face Lucic, you think he would take on Chara......no chance. He probably thanked the refs for being there loll

  • Such a fantastic, clean hit.

...and someone thinking that Mike Komiserek could even last 5 seconds in a fight with Chara is laughable. Hasn't Lucic taught him enough lessons for a lifetime?

  • Chara can't fight for shit.. I'm not saying Komisarek can but I'd be surprised if that fight lasted 10 seconds without a takedown by Chara.

  • WELL SAID!!

  • Sure a lot of Chara's fights end up in takedowns fairly early on, he's significantly taller than most players in the NHL and thus is always fighting from above. The point is that Komiserek is a bitch and a terrible excuse for an enforcer. He acts tough when he's being restrained or separated but gets the **** kicked out of him when he actually drops the gloves. I don't think linking a clip of Lucic destroying him is even necessary.

  • too bad Komisarek isn't an enforcer.. and in case you didn't notice, Komisarek was behind his own blue line while everyone else was in the B's zone or the neutral zone - being the 3rd guy in there isn't bad..

  • You clearly don't know what the term "third man in" means.

  • Im a leafs fan and i know it was a clean hit and the other thing i don't understand why every single team has to freak out over a guy on the opposing team after he hits him hard and clean. A hit is a hit just fuck off and leave the guy alone!

  • Na buddy that was not a clean hit. he left his feet, elbow out. u got no idea what ur talking about eat shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Stajan's head was down and it was a totally clean hit.

  • Comment removed

  • Charas a dick, the refs had that under control..and he happened to just agitate everyone imself, komiserek should have beat the crap out of Chara

  • @darklord657 you mean tried?

  • ur a fag, it was an elbow and charging. Mr snuffelz is right, american commentater noes that with the exepion of a few american players, all they can do is play dirty

  • Hey MrSnufflez, did you even watch this video closely before running your mouth. The announcers did not justify anything. they were just calling it like they see it. It was a clean/ Great open ice hit. Boychuk did not throw an elbow, In fact if you watch the video closely his left elbow is tucked in. He left the ice after the hit because he lost balance from the momentum and reached up out of natural reaction to falling. you should seriously think before you comment. You look like an idiot.

  • Great post, I wonder if MrSnufflez has ever played a game of hockey in his life

  • CLEAN HIT

  • american announcers and fans are obviously too stupid and try and justify these headshots by blaming the player with the puck for skating with his head down. rubbish, boychuck threw an elbow, left his feet and reached UP to hit stajans head. the other announcer mentions chara and his height, well, he knows hes taller and avoids the head shots cause he has class, unlike the announcers

  • LOL are all leafs fans idiots, are is it just you?

  • @thisguy7788 im a leafs fan and ya it was a clean hit i agree and don't think the guy should get suspended but if u watch the angle at 1:44 u can kinda see him lift his shoulder towards stajan's head, it is a clean hit but i think the intention is there which isn't right although i don't think u can change aggression and don't want it to change cuz it would screw the game

  • agreed bud, lol alright not all leafs fans are idiots, good thing for them they have fans like you, just MOST seem to be idiots!!

  • destroyed :o
