I remember going to a prosperity church as a kid. It was funny and terrible at the same time. People called up in ranks of how much money to give; highest givers walking down a red carpet to receive presents and the lowest giving shamed. When we got home I told my mum that wouldn't go to such an abomination of a church again and we didn't. We stuck to our more bible adhering church. I remember going to a prosperity church as a kid. It was funny and terrible at the same time. People called up in ranks of how much money to give; highest givers walking down a red carpet to receive presents and the lowest giving shamed. When we got home I told my mum that wouldn't go to such an abomination of a church again and we didn't. We stuck to our more bible adhering church. God never told Gentiles to keep Old Covenant laws like Circumcision of 8 day old males, no pork eating, keep the 7 High Holy Days,incl. Pass Over & Yom Kipper Day of Atonement or the Sabbath rest which starts Frid. nite to Sat. nite with the Sabbat evening meal. Orthodox Jews still keep these laws. This sounds more like a "How To Make Money" seminar. He shouldn't be up there telling people how to make money, how to manage money, get a car, get a house, what stock to buy and use the Bible to back-up what he's saying. Worldly things shouldn't be held so high that he would ask people to use the Lord's name the same way a person would use a four-leaf clover or a damn rabbit's foot.

Many false gurus who promise rich rewards if you follow their path are fortold in the bible, including people who say they've seen Jesus, (we won't see him like that). Hell is real and many are going. Bible prophecy tells us many things that are coming true. The path to righteousness and forgiveness is narrow, and few are getting it right.
Christianity is not something to be taken lightly, it IS THE TRUTH and must be accepted as a child accepts. Please turn to the truth, NOW.

@Raraavis77 I think it's best to attack their message and not the person. To warn people of a false teacher, but to do so as to help both the pastor and the people from making a mistake. I know judging to an extent isn't a sin; however, to carry on with, "Swaggart got caught with a whore" as if it defines him and not that he struggled with a sin is all I bring up.

@BogusJesus Nice try, but God is perfect. Sin is the rebellion against God. Lucifer was made good, until Lucifer took it upon himself to rebel. God gave him a choice as much as he gave you a choice to attempt to mock or accept him.

@BogusJesus That's not God creating evil. Evil is going against God's will and his commands. If one does the opposite of what God directs then that is evil. God gave both man and angels (Lucifer is an angel as well) the freewill to do what they want. A better question and something to look into is why was it Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels to rebel and not all of the angels? Obviously, all of them had a chance to rebel, but didn't.

@BogusJesus Genesis 3:15, Jeremiah 23:5-6, Isaiah 7:14, Psalms 2:7, Proverbs 30:4; there are many more scriptures and all of these were written by people inspired by the Holy Spirit many years before Christ existed. Moses wrote Genesis and some of the old testament books. Everyone had it in their hearts to know and accept God, but they rejected him. Before Christ on the Cross, there was God that many people had an opportunity to come to, but did not.

@BogusJesus God knows all; however, why is your attention on God creating a being he knew may rebel, but not on the one who knew better not to rebel? While your question has been something that I too have wondered in the past, but now know the answer, the fault lies with a being who had a choice to do right as opposed to wrong. Lucifer's wrong actions are the ones that should be criticized, not God who obviously created him out of love.
