Jericho story returns in Oct. in Comic book form 6 issues picking up where last episode left off, also there is a movie in development, look for fan sites to find out even more.
The town is doing it's best to function like normal and celebrating a community event would help bring them together and take their mind of Nuclear warfare. That's what I think.

I also never said anything to the effect of the US being an innocent as far as their involvement in Iraq. Technically anyone could make a WMD in their home by mixing household chemicals, but chlorine bleach is a lot different than cyanide.
