hey, can i play my electric guitar through my effects pedals and then into the AudioBox to record my songs? my standard setup is Guitar > Tube Screamer > Delay Pedal/Reverb > Clean Amp. Will the signal from these effects pedals sound on the computer as I would expect them to from the clean amp? Thanks
@swart24 No problem! Just set up a mic or two by your drum set and record. You may choose to give it a listen and adjust the mic placement to taste. You can also program your own drum tracks using Studio One's intuitive MIDI editor.
I bought the Audiobox usb with Studio One yesterday. For some reason when I play back what I have recorded it is quiet and it crackles and it sounds really weird. But I found that If i mix it down to an MP3 it sounds normal. It just sounds weird when it's in the program. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?
@CarlyMoses That could be caused by a couple different things... hard to diagnose via YouTube comments. I will DM you the link to our tech support and community forums, where you can check in for the answers you need! Thanks for choosing us!
Greetings, I have a question: The Audiobox when connected is used instead of the integrated sound card of a laptop? I'm interested in some device with 0 latency to connect a Midi keyboard and use it to play live with various samples sounds, so I need 0 latency. So the question really is: Is this Audiobox like a external sound card and it has 0 latency? Thanks!! Great Vid!
Yes, the AudioBox will be your main audio component when hooked up to a computer, and will supersede the on-board audio to some extent. We make every effort to minimize latency, but the fact is "0 latency" doesn't exist in any product by any manufacturer. Other factors like your laptop's processing power, DAW of choice and it's buffer settings will affect latency.
Best thing to do is take your keyboard to a local PreSonus dealer and try out an AudioBox!
Hi, I'm just getting started and was wondering if you could help me... When I add a track and record enable it, it shows the track monitoring levels and there is a visual response when I play something. However I can't hear the live input from my guitar no matter how loud i turn up every volume knob/switch whether it be physically on the guitar or audiobox, or in the software. Suggestions?
@TheHamster0ncrack Hey there! It's difficult to diagnose via YouTube comments, but it could be that you don't have the track monitoring icon engaged. It's a little speaker icon next to the mute, solo, and record icons on each track. It will light up in blue when activated. If that doesn't work, check in with tech support. Thanks for choosing us!

@Drummerman560 Hey there, thanks for checking in! AUdio clicks and pops can be caused by a number of different issues... I strongly recommend checking in with our knowledgebase and/or tech support crew! I will DM you the links to both.
@Gregizzjr Hey! It's super easy. Use an XLR cable to connect the mic to one of the XLR analog inputs on the front of the AudioBox. The ST51 is a condenser mic, which means it requires +48v, or phantom power. Press the +48v button on the face of the unit and you should be good to go!
@presonusaudio like rap/hip hop instrumentals that you find. after you download them, i'm trying to pull them up in studio one artist version. i have my instrumentals in my itunes. i'm trying to upload them into studio one version.
@67holla You won't be able to drag and drop them from iTunes, but you should be able to drag and drop them from your music library folder; if you have iTunes set to use M4A format, you may have to use a format converter first to change them to .WAV files. Cheers!
@presonusaudio i don't see your friends request. lol but i figured it out thanks.my next question is how do i record over the beat. this part os really REALLY fustrating me.
@67holla Once you have your beat imported, press "T" to create a new track, then "R" to arm your new track for recording. Click on the circle in the transport controls on the bottom of the screen (it will red) click on the play button in the transport controls and you're recording!
Just plug the guitar into the AudioBox, and the AudioBox into the computer! Ampire, in Studio One, will allow you to model amp sounds like the one you hear in this video. If that's not working for you check out the tech support section of our website... :)

so i can just plug my synth board using 2 trs coming out the outputs of the synth and have the other end put in the 2 inputs into the audiobox and i can record the board's sounds?
@Germ303 the midi ports are there for plugging in midi instruments like keyboards, edrums or midi guitars. so you don't need midi. You only need usb ports.
Hi, I'm an audiophile who tryes to create radiodrama in home recording, only vocals. My main concern is the noise. I have a core 2 duo processor and a case that make a bit of noise. I presume the electricity of my devices is the cause of the noise. I have a soundblaster audigy 2, a behringer xenyx 1202 and a shure PG58, which is enough for me.
But the noise in the recording makes me crazy. The question is: the presonus eliminates the noise, or would I have the same problem?

Burningman If there is no template just add a stereo or mono track. It does the same thing. The template just gives you a couple of mono tracks named 1 and 2. Then click on them to name them whatever you want.

Btw, he has a good voice and is very competent. I'm not being a hater, just wished for a more "step by step" tutorial. All the presonas videos are narrated by speed reading monotone robots. That's all, ps it's a great product
When I plug in my Audiobox USB, and open up the program (Studio One) and I sing, or talk in to my mic which is also plugged in, it will not pick up the sound on the program, why might this be happening? I have a mac, and i checked all the plugs, they are good. I do the outputs, but it just doesn't work.
@sketchead2 you have the option on the configuring page to change from audiobox to windows if you click on the triangle beside the browser box. That will make sound come through the computer speakers then you can switch it back when you want sound through the audiobox again.
Oh Man, thank you so much for posting this. I have had my Audio box for almost a week and have only been able to get the mic and headphones to work and haven't been able to get anything to record yet. This gives me hope that it is a good system once I figure out how to work it.
plugged my guitar into audiobox and everythings installed with studio one. but no sound is going into my laptop from the interface.
If i plug my headphones into the audiobox i can hear it. but nothing from the laptop. do i need anything else like monitors or seperate speakers or something?
Hi! i need some help please! i bought it too! but i can't install the studio one artist software because it ask me for a product key! but i can't find it ANYWHERE! I looked for it inside the box, on the CD, everywhere! I need some help please! where is it exactly supossed to be?! i'd really appreciate for any help or advice! thank you!
@overtimelimit hey the product key is in the studio one CD case, if u open the case there is a flap open the flap and your product key should be behind there
I am a newbie and I keep pressing my record button but I dont see anything recording...but i hear it in the background how can I change so I can see levels??
hey man I wonder if you can help me? i got a presonus audiobox the other day but the sound quality is terrible! horrible buzzing and crackling sounds, can't get a good sound out of it at all. Some people have suggested replacing the usb cable it came with and it did that but no change. I am using windows vista pentium dual core cpu t4200 @ 2.00gigs with 3gb of memory. any feedback would be greatly appreciated as im totally bummed out by this!
Question: Can the playback only be heard through the Monitor (speakers) or Studio Headphones? and if not then How can I change my settings to where I can hear
@bcof301 Hey... I just want to record my bass lines.. I have my pedal, so I don't need any effect plugins to add different tones or nothing.. So, my question is, is this software that comes with the AudioBox good for my very simple need??

@sketchead2 I had the same issue. Yes, you can only hear it through monitor speakers & headphones, not your computer speakers.

hey man I wonder if you can help me? i got a presonus audiobox the other day but the sound quality is terrible! horrible buzzing and crackling sounds, can't get a good sound out of it at all. Some people have suggested replacing the usb cable it came with and it did that but no change. I am using windows vista pentium dual core cpu t4200 @ 2.00gigs with 3gb of memory. any feedback would be greatly appreciated as im totally bummed out by this!

@bcof301 Hey... I just want to record my bass lines.. I have my pedal, so I don't need any effect plugins to add different tones or nothing.. So, my question is, is this software that comes with the AudioBox good for my very simple need??
cheers

@bassnicola absolutely...studio one ARTIST, does everything that u need to do except for mastering.
