  • one more question, can you make beats with the presonus software?

  • Thanks and I was wondering if the presonus audiobox comes with the software and is it ok for rapping and not rock music?

  • @SangMineral Yes, The software included is Studio One Artist. Anyone can make whatever kind of music they like with it!

  • Hi, do we get the Studio one Software free with the AUDIOBOX???

  • @9966017270 Yes! Studio One Artist is included with the AudioBox family of interfaces.

  • Does the usb connection also allow you to hear sound from your pc speakers? Or do you just hear it back from the headphones?

  • at 1:20 my software is like audio box usb ASIO DRIVER why¿?

  • Some one knows to open the universal control of this interface?

  • at 1:20 my screen doesnt look like that when i bring up studio one in fact i see the top half of 'configure audio device' but there is no way to scroll down. what the hell?

  • @jakesplosion111 im in the same problem and the latency its so bad y cant even open universal control :/

  • @santiagolike i have no problems with recording it sounds great and has alot of cool stuff just that bug on the opening screen worries me

  • Is this compatible with Ableton so I can record my Korg Microkorg in to ableton, along side with my Akia xr-20?

  • @ace101guy Yes, absolutely. Cheers!

  • who knows how to download instramentals on to the computer tht suports prezounds

  • Sorry; I forgot to ask; IK uses Asio 4all drivers to operate; what drivers does the Audiobox use? Thanks again.

  • @TheBluesnbob The AudioBox will use our proprietary drivers which are included with the product, or can be downloaded from our website.

  • I have IK Amplitube Stealth pedal with Amplitube 3! Will Studio 1 recognise this if it's connected to my computer usb port? I'm considering buying this! Thanks!

  • How are the mic preamps on this? For like moving guitar amps and drums?

  • @fasionroadkill We think they're great!

  • I'd sincerely like a reply to this question from you Presonus. I have this, and it's great. But who's the sterling scholar that put the headphone jack on the back of the unit?

  • after you press the record button and your done singing, where is the song now? I don't know if i recorded my song correctly.

  • hey, can i play my electric guitar through my effects pedals and then into the AudioBox to record my songs? my standard setup is Guitar > Tube Screamer > Delay Pedal/Reverb > Clean Amp. Will the signal from these effects pedals sound on the computer as I would expect them to from the clean amp? Thanks

  • @JackDavis16 i would rather not use effects from the studio one program

  • @JackDavis16 pretty sure they will

  • can you add backing tracks and stuff like that?

  • @MrJoewill92 Absolutely!

  • @presonusaudio brilliant, definitely getting this!

  • @MrJoewill92 Thank you! Let us know if you have questions!

  • @presonusaudio will doooo

  • what if I want to make my own drum track?

  • @swart24 No problem! Just set up a mic or two by your drum set and record. You may choose to give it a listen and adjust the mic placement to taste. You can also program your own drum tracks using Studio One's intuitive MIDI editor.

  • You say you set the tempo and then you record but where is the record button at . I'm using (my first DAW ever) Pro One 2 & a Firestudio mobile .

  • HEY THERE IM NEW TO STUDIO ONE BUT I HAVE AN AUDIOBOX USB AND EVERY TIME I TRY TO RECORD WITH STUDIO ONE IT MAKES THIS CRACKLING NOISE.

CAN U PLEASE TELL ME HOW 2 FIX IT

  • what's the most recommended program to recording with audiobox usb except Studio one ?

  • I bought the Audiobox usb with Studio One yesterday. For some reason when I play back what I have recorded it is quiet and it crackles and it sounds really weird. But I found that If i mix it down to an MP3 it sounds normal. It just sounds weird when it's in the program. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

  • @CarlyMoses That could be caused by a couple different things... hard to diagnose via YouTube comments. I will DM you the link to our tech support and community forums, where you can check in for the answers you need! Thanks for choosing us!

  • Greetings, I have a question: The Audiobox when connected is used instead of the integrated sound card of a laptop? I'm interested in some device with 0 latency to connect a Midi keyboard and use it to play live with various samples sounds, so I need 0 latency. So the question really is: Is this Audiobox like a external sound card and it has 0 latency? Thanks!! Great Vid!

  • @lackiest1 Thanks!

Yes, the AudioBox will be your main audio component when hooked up to a computer, and will supersede the on-board audio to some extent. We make every effort to minimize latency, but the fact is "0 latency" doesn't exist in any product by any manufacturer. Other factors like your laptop's processing power, DAW of choice and it's buffer settings will affect latency.

Best thing to do is take your keyboard to a local PreSonus dealer and try out an AudioBox!

  • can i use this in mixcraft 5?

  • Hi, I'm just getting started and was wondering if you could help me... When I add a track and record enable it, it shows the track monitoring levels and there is a visual response when I play something. However I can't hear the live input from my guitar no matter how loud i turn up every volume knob/switch whether it be physically on the guitar or audiobox, or in the software. Suggestions?

  • @TheHamster0ncrack Hey there! It's difficult to diagnose via YouTube comments, but it could be that you don't have the track monitoring icon engaged. It's a little speaker icon next to the mute, solo, and record icons on each track. It will light up in blue when activated. If that doesn't work, check in with tech support. Thanks for choosing us!

  • Question....why wont the output work for me? i tried using standard computer speakers and heard nothing and i tried an amp and that didnt work

    what can i do?

  • im a little new to recording and editing music. i know how to record and im recording an electronic drum set but i dont know how to get the random clicks out of what im recording. any adivice?

  • @Drummerman560 Hey there, thanks for checking in! AUdio clicks and pops can be caused by a number of different issues... I strongly recommend checking in with our knowledgebase and/or tech support crew! I will DM you the links to both.

  • how do I connect a ST51 mic to the interface?

  • @Gregizzjr Hey! It's super easy. Use an XLR cable to connect the mic to one of the XLR analog inputs on the front of the AudioBox. The ST51 is a condenser mic, which means it requires +48v, or phantom power. Press the +48v button on the face of the unit and you should be good to go!

  • this program is awesome!!!! ;)

  • It will depend a little bit on your microphone and interface setup. I willl DM you the link to tech support and they will hook you up. Thanks man!

  • how do you import instrumentals in studio one?

  • @67holla I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you mean instrumental mixes of songs, like Karaoke versions?

  • @presonusaudio like rap/hip hop instrumentals that you find. after you download them, i'm trying to pull them up in studio one artist version. i have my instrumentals in my itunes. i'm trying to upload them into studio one version.

  • @67holla You won't be able to drag and drop them from iTunes, but you should be able to drag and drop them from your music library folder; if you have iTunes set to use M4A format, you may have to use a format converter first to change them to .WAV files. Cheers!

  • @presonusaudio i figured it out. thanks? i have another question. how do i record the instrumental with my vocals?

  • @67holla Respond to my friend request so I can DM you, cool?

  • @presonusaudio i don't see your friends request. lol but i figured it out thanks.my next question is how do i record over the beat. this part os really REALLY fustrating me.

  • @67holla Once you have your beat imported, press "T" to create a new track, then "R" to arm your new track for recording. Click on the circle in the transport controls on the bottom of the screen (it will red) click on the play button in the transport controls and you're recording!

  • @presonusaudio thank you very much.

  • Just plug the guitar into the AudioBox, and the AudioBox into the computer! Ampire, in Studio One, will allow you to model amp sounds like the one you hear in this video. If that's not working for you check out the tech support section of our website... :)

  • what about connecting this with a usb keyboard? cause a dude said its good for vocals and guitars, but not ideal for use with keyboards, because of one of the knobs cant be turned off or something he said,..?

actually i need it to loose my latency on my keyboard, and for real time vocal recordings .. plz help !!

  • Im thinking about getting this to use to plug in a mic, or a guitar. Ive done a lot of research and some say that it has delay because it is usb, and that the presonus firestudio is better. but i dont have firewire on my computer. any advice? Thanks:)

  • The guitar track playing in the background the entire time is extremely distracting.

  • IHave Erythng PluggedUP! RITE...ImTryn Get Threw All these Steps Wit #Presonus IHAVE AN ACCOUNT But Im tRYN Get 2Da Main SCREEN So ICuld Record...OR WAT ELSE CAN I #DL 2 RECRD TO HEAR MY VOICE N NOT JUST DA BEAT HOW CAN IDEW BOTH OF DEM ...

  • Would this work well on a pc laptop?

  • @drummerboy9551 Depending on the specs of the PC, yes. The software specs are available on our site. I'll DM the link to you.

  • Could you tell me that if I hook up 2 mic's (one for the amp and one for vocal) Can I use 48V for one condenser mic and no voltage for my dynamic mic ? At the same time . - Thanks , Jerry .

  • How do you import an mp3 beat. this thing is so frustrating

  • can you create your own drum tracks ?

  • When i record i get hissing why?

  • When i have my headphones plugged into the audiobox usb i can hear my vocals when i'm recording in my headphones... I don't want to hear my vocals when i'm recording, i only want to hear the music. How do i do that???

  • @AD4Audio Just turn of the monitoring button from the software !!

  • @KarimBaroliaMusic umm.. Actually i just needed to turn the "mixer" nob. I appreciate tho!!!

  • Is there any way to make playback play through computer speakers or nornal headphones hooked up into computer.

  • Shit, idk what is going on but my StudioOne, like isn't showing anything when i record. It doesn't have the color striped running like that....

  • Comment removed

  • why does he have his guitar plugged into the mic input? lol

  • this guy looks weird

  • i just want to use instrumentals then vocals n mix...how how how?

  • i just bought this the other day, and as of right now i fucking hate it. i havent even began to figure out micing my amp while using this pos. they need to stop using the word easy with this thing.

  • so i can just plug my synth board using 2 trs coming out the outputs of the synth and have the other end put in the 2 inputs into the audiobox and i can record the board's sounds?

  • okay, just bought this. How do i plug my guitar into this? Is there a special cable?

  • @KnightofNever13 let me know if u found out.. doesnt it just g into the instrument input?

  • @froggyfruitloops Yeah, it does..I plugged it in and was like... "-_- really. I feel stupid."

  • does this work with windows seven

  • Do you need MIDI to record? Because i dont have it.

  • @Germ303 the midi ports are there for plugging in midi instruments like keyboards, edrums or midi guitars. so you don't need midi. You only need usb ports.

  • Hi, I'm an audiophile who tryes to create radiodrama in home recording, only vocals. My main concern is the noise. I have a core 2 duo processor and a case that make a bit of noise. I presume the electricity of my devices is the cause of the noise. I have a soundblaster audigy 2, a behringer xenyx 1202 and a shure PG58, which is enough for me.

But the noise in the recording makes me crazy. The question is: the presonus eliminates the noise, or would I have the same problem?

  • so which is better the usb collectors edition or the one with the montiors

  • I have another software called "Cool Edit Pro" do i still have to do this?

  • WITHOUT using the output jacks on this thing, will it play through my computer speakers or are you forced to use monitors?

  • Can I use my shure sm51 mic with this?

  • Can you use the audiobox with garage band?

  • @bekk46 im 99 percent sure that you can but it comes with a software. either cubase or studio one. depending on where you buy it

  • Can we record both instruments in the same time, I mean, record on two tracks in the same time so we can mix it whatever we want it ?

  • Okay, can someone tell me if you can use regular P.A. Monitors/Speakers for the AudioBox Presonus or do you have to get special studio monitors?

  • hey I love my audiobox, but recently, the xlr 1 input stopped working. the 1/4 inch 1 input still works. is it a hardware issue?

  • i wanna get one of these but i dont know much about interfaces in general, i have been recording with a usb microphone and iv been looking into one of these because i want to buy some studio monitors. can i still record using my usb mic just plugged into my computer, does this box create a better sound for my mic if i get one which i can plug into it with my monitors?

    thanks alot.

  • Burningman If there is no template just add a stereo or mono track. It does the same thing. The template just gives you a couple of mono tracks named 1 and 2. Then click on them to name them whatever you want.

  • Scetchhead, try plugging the Audiobox up and get that running before you open Studio One.

  • Hey, this is Wayne Train. I'm not Presonus but I'll try to help. burningman try going to your Start page and click on Configure External Device then select Audiobox. If it's not there and you see some other Presonus device, go ahead and select that. That'll usually work. Angellica, try this also.

  • This interface is NO good for Keyboards it makes a lot of Hisssss noise, its only good for guitar, vocals and bass guitar.

  • it sees my audiobox...so, what do you do if the audiobox usb template isn't there?

  • i don't have audiobox usb in the song options. this is really not at all as easy as he describes. i spent 160 on this thing a couple weeks ago and have yet to record anything.

  • Btw, he has a good voice and is very competent. I'm not being a hater, just wished for a more "step by step" tutorial. All the presonas videos are narrated by speed reading monotone robots. That's all, ps it's a great product

  • This tutorial sucks about as much as this dudes musical taste... Cheesy. How about a simple, step by step tutorial.

  • When I plug in my Audiobox USB, and open up the program (Studio One) and I sing, or talk in to my mic which is also plugged in, it will not pick up the sound on the program, why might this be happening? I have a mac, and i checked all the plugs, they are good. I do the outputs, but it just doesn't work.

What can I do to fix this?

  • @sketchead2 you have the option on the configuring page to change from audiobox to windows if you click on the triangle beside the browser box. That will make sound come through the computer speakers then you can switch it back when you want sound through the audiobox again.

  • Oh Man, thank you so much for posting this. I have had my Audio box for almost a week and have only been able to get the mic and headphones to work and haven't been able to get anything to record yet. This gives me hope that it is a good system once I figure out how to work it.

  • plugged my guitar into audiobox and everythings installed with studio one. but no sound is going into my laptop from the interface.

If i plug my headphones into the audiobox i can hear it. but nothing from the laptop. do i need anything else like monitors or seperate speakers or something?

  • @sketchead2 I had the same issue. Yes, you can only hear it through monitor speakers & headphones, not your computer speakers.

  • how do yo save your song to something???

  • Hi! i need some help please! i bought it too! but i can't install the studio one artist software because it ask me for a product key! but i can't find it ANYWHERE! I looked for it inside the box, on the CD, everywhere! I need some help please! where is it exactly supossed to be?! i'd really appreciate for any help or advice! thank you!

  • @overtimelimit hey the product key is in the studio one CD case, if u open the case there is a flap open the flap and your product key should be behind there

  • If I'm monitoring from my DAW will I hear latency with the audiobox because of the AD conversion?

  • my computer doesnt recognize my audio box and mic...someone help me

  • help please!! i dont have the audiobox usb template thingy :(

  • I am a newbie and I keep pressing my record button but I dont see anything recording...but i hear it in the background how can I change so I can see levels??

  • k sooo are those vocals already eq'ed and compressed?? im really wondering if my vocals would come out that clean if i buy this

  • hey man I wonder if you can help me? i got a presonus audiobox the other day but the sound quality is terrible! horrible buzzing and crackling sounds, can't get a good sound out of it at all. Some people have suggested replacing the usb cable it came with and it did that but no change. I am using windows vista pentium dual core cpu t4200 @ 2.00gigs with 3gb of memory. any feedback would be greatly appreciated as im totally bummed out by this!

  • @noirmakesvideos I thought it was in ur "uploads" and was like... oh dear tell me ur not doing instructionals

  • good studio one pro

  • This is garageband

  • Question: Can the playback only be heard through the Monitor (speakers) or Studio Headphones? and if not then How can I change my settings to where I can hear

the playback through my actual laptop? :(

  • Also, how did he record the guitar without clipping? The preamps are too hot to record with for it to no be clipping

  • Mine came with Studio One Artist, does it come with the full one now?

  • My PreSonus came with Cubase L4 though xP

  • @hasegawamiki u got an old 1. all presonus now come with studio one. studio one is nice but i recommend Cockos Reaper

  • @bcof301 Hey... I just want to record my bass lines.. I have my pedal, so I don't need any effect plugins to add different tones or nothing.. So, my question is, is this software that comes with the AudioBox good for my very simple need??

    cheers

  • @bassnicola absolutely...studio one ARTIST, does everything that u need to do except for mastering.
