that doesnt mean they dont rule though..a great artist has alot of carbon copy moments to moments on meshuggahs nothing album, all that said i like A Great Artist more than Nothing
ALL you faggots saying they rip-off Meshugggggggaaaaaah. EAT MY COCK, and listen to the music, shut the fuck up, or at some point in your puny lifeless existence, you will be ended. I've seen the 'Shuggah live, like fucking 10 years ago or some shit already, these fuckers right here though, break faces instantaneously. Meshuggah doesn't do that for me. You probably don't like my opinion, but guess what? FUCK yours. It's music, we all like different shit, so eat it.
@FrolicEpidemic if they brought something new to the plate or did it in thier own way then you could call it meshuggah inspired. but this just straight up sounds like a track off of a meshuggah album.
@atmosem Well, a lot of groove metal sounds very similar. Just down-tuned riffs in monocromatic pattern with polyrhythmic drumming and a usually a harsh vocalist who may or may not variate between clean singing as well. I any case, calling these guys a Meshuggah rip off would be like calling every other groove metal band with a monotonous vocalist a Meshuggah rip-off.
@Madhouse255 Not really. Periphery and Meshuggah are both within the genre, but you can tell the difference between the two instantly. Or Octopus, or Animals as Leaders. They have thier own distinctions, when this band doesnt. I guess I don't blame them for wanting to sound like Meshuggah, but this band just feels to generic to me.
@atmosem It's hard to be original these days, seeing how music has branched off into so many aspects. There's always gonna be two bands who sound alike, and that's that. Just let it be, they're both good.
In the words of Devin Townsend; We all rip off Meshuggah. Big deal. Meshuggah is fucking influential.

@atmosem rip off , why are you able to come to such a bold conclusion. Why can't it be Meshuggah inspired.

@atmosem Yeah? And the very early Meshuggah sounded alot like old Metallica. Does that make Meshuggah a rip off?

if any band tried sounding like meshuggah, these guys would be the ones to pull it off.
