The "camp" is a small community that will sustain life in the middle of no ware with the basic amenities ex: kitchen, wash area, sleepers...ect. The builder of the camp usually helps in the coordination of flights and supplies needed afterwards. It's the location, setup and service the customer receives that makes the difference in the camp.
My contribution to the camp is setting them up with communications. Phones, fax and internet. I have been to many remote sites in the arctic and can usually distinguish when a site is being serviced from one expediter or the other. Matrix Helicopters doesn't actually own any helicopters as far as I know.
Ya im in a tent and the wireless is usually pretty good compared to the havens,i got nails and shit hanging everywhere,in february I lined the walls with fabric from the coverall(inside)to stop the breezes, got pics of the thermometer at -80 with the wind chill from then.Your camp looks nice, everything lined up nice and straight where our tents are wherever they could put them. Some have been here 12 years.cant wait to go back next week.the rainy season
also never heard of a helicopter company doing their own camps

I don't like them as much as tents. Noisier flapping in the wind, no place to put a nail in to hang your gear and tough to get wireless internet :)
