Too predictable. I love PBF because I can't usually see the ending coming. This one...I knew what was going to happen. Not good if you can't outwit a dumbshit like me.
I dunno how much input this had from the cartoon creator, but this was very different. In the comic, the 3-4 panels works well for a shock value, without drawing it out. Here we know he'll pop when he looks at the sun, but have to wait many seconds. The video would've been better with him "Hey I got new glasses!" "Oh, I guess it looks cool..." *look at sun* Then from the friend's perspective 2 popcorns fly at them and they scream. But dunno, maybe it was just me.
That joke suffered a lot from losing the enforced succinctness of the three or four (I forget) panel format. There was no shock, we just watched it slowly happen.
I liked the character animation a lot though. I'd like to see him write and animate some stuff specifically for the medium.
This is pathetic, people think hes this great new cartoonist but its all godless hippy newage crap. Ill stick to Garfield and other cartoons that dont mock christian existence thank you very much
would you stop being such a narrow-minded prick? and seriously, if you dont like pbf, thats your opinion, and youre entitled to it, but stop trying fruitlessly to rub it off on other people, just dont read the comic. Its as simple as that.
P.S. nick mocks christian existence, sure, but its in complete and total jest, and who doesn't? I'll bet even YOU've thought about God being a peeping tom.
@lgtoast Garfield was pretty fucking darkly funny back in the day. Have you ever actually ever read the real Garfield? No, of course not, because you just see the modern strips and wonder how the hell it ever got popular in the first place. Like The Simpsons, many of the old school things that are still recognizable got famous for a reason.
Jeroid, to be honest I never have anything to say when I see PBF cartoons. They're so brilliant because they always speak for themself, making further commentary unnecessary.
This has been up since February and NOONE has commented on it? You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. The next person here who watches this and doesn;t leave a comment is a tourist fop. I would exchange every channel on my tv (except for rolling news) for one that streamed continuous PBF cartoons. Animated, stills, I'm not fussy about the ratio as long as there's a mixture. That's all for now. Cheers.
If I had any influence I would give this guy a deal to make a feature length project TODAY. No hesitation. Perry Bible Fellowship is the funniest, saddest, most absurd, most profound cartoon in existence. These cartoons have the power to SAVE LIVES.
Great, do more. Where are all the comments? This is such an excellent job. Can we have one of the Butterfly Catchers? Or what about Hugbot? Perry Bible Fellowship has more going for it than any animation outfit in Hollywood.
hm.. it kinda sucks imo, pbf is awesome though

@lgtoast Everyone goes through a "Garfield Phase." Mines ended when I started reading comics strips like Bloom County, and The Boondocks.

That was great! I think the glasses should've hit the ground at the end though.
