I don't have the space for weaving tools XD So i asked my grandpa to teach me how to make one of his mobile weaving tools :D Which is basically a piece of cardboard with alternating slots and holes~ I can't make big things with it, but I an at least make bracelets :)
I set up my rigid heddle loom so that the string heddle bar is below the loom and I use a pedal to pull it down to make the shed. Works out really well. My next endeavor is to use multiple heddle bars like in this video...but I'm wondering about the comb...wouldn't beating it with a shed stick be faster?
This looks like the system I had set up for my backstrap loom, but mine had the stick harnesses dangling below the work. They kept getting tangled, though, and I couldn't make them shorter or the shed would have been tiny. I'm going to make some wire ones soon. Hopefully that will work better.

Using a shed stick would be faster, but not when you want a tight weave. The comb pushes the weft into the weave better for a tight weave.
